For some reason the chapter on anchoring in my text book sent all the memories of my last class back to me. Dropping the hook, for some reason, is the quintessential seaman act. That's probably why the yacth club emblem is a fouled kedge anchor. But It made me want to go sailing again even more. Last time our windlass didn't work (or anything else for that matter) but like all well equiped boats, we had another anchor with an all rope rode instead of all chain. It is intersting how many people in a crowded anchorage are drunk. Which brings me to the title. When the skipper and I were wandering the streets of Annapolis we stopped in a pizzaria where a drunk man was trying to take the pizza from behind the glass. :P
