I've been in the fandom some over 12 years now and after what I just discovered today proves how sad the fandom is. Now b4 I continue this is an nsfw journal also the subjects in this journal are used with respect and are not seen as objects so please don't look at it any other way. That said I just joined the nsfw AnthroCon chat right, and we're all here posting our gay content right and planning to make newer content at AnthroCon possibly. I already know some friends of mine wanna make content with me so hopefully I'm able to link up with them and it's not a wash like the last few times I went. However all I did was ask a simple question " Do you guys think there's a straight AnthroCon or Straight Furs chat?" Of course with no other purpose but to make content. At first all I hear is crickets, then people began to respond "good luck", "Not that I know of" and my all time favorite "There's straight furs in the fandom?"

Ok so let's begin where things really got off the rails. I'm under the impression there is a 50/50 cis male cis female algorithm with the trans community in there somewhere because respectfully they count too. However after being shown a map of all the identifing cis male, cis female, trans males and trans females in the fandom I learned there's a lower amount of cis women in the fandom than I thought. Worse off one person told me "And this is why women don't make nsfw content, why would you throw yourselves like a fish to the sharks knowing full well their gonna bite" So basically we're better off with only gay men doing nsfw content right?

I have stayed quiet about this specific for a long time in fear of being cancelled but my gloves are off with this journal. Never was able to come up with the right things to say and I probably never wiil. but here's my opinion on cis women, the furry fandom and the nsfw mursuit content or lack there of. I honestly think there are women who make or want to make content in the fandom. but outside the fandom it's heterosexual dominated and in side the fandom it's gay male/trans dominated. So if you're cis women you're a minority and if you're lesbian double minority in a fandom... lets face it... run by men unfortunately or fortunately however you slice it.

Now there are cis women in the fandom. Out side of sex/mursuting there's women everywhere 70% of the women in the community are artists. So if this is the case why so little mursuit content? "Women are afraid of being seen as unclean or sluts in the fandom" that's valid point, but how bout y'all not judge people... "but girls be icky in general" Well then how bout you shut the fuck up. Look if you're gay cool, you like what you like, but don't berate people of the opposite sex. A part of me feels *and I'm being brutally honest* A bunch of people looking for pussy can't get pussy because they dont know how to talk to women, hell I don't even know how to talk to women if my intention is to get in bed "well maybe if you stop objectifying" Aint no body here objectifying, we're just keepin it real, don't use heterosexual monogamous stereotypes to invalidate peopel's feelings, because this shit is too real. It's what lead me to depression, so shut the hell up and listen. I love and respect women even if some people out in the universe think otherwise, but if you wanna make content it's call ask, talk about wanting to do things with said cis women and if she's down for it then there you go.

This fandom may be male dominated but just keep the faith. Unfortunately it's too late for me I've given up, I haven't have any luck trying to score with a women since high school junior year and honestly I've given up. If someone out there approached me and asked to make content of cis female decent Or wanna to play around in general without a camera I'd proudly say yes, but also we live in a climate where #metoo is running rampant and women can lie about concent, take that shit back and say you did things to them and get you cancelled which is one of my biggest fears and is why I have been ever so hesitant on wanting to be with another women in that way. This is a valid fear, but unlike me I hope you all can do better. to my cis males of the fandom if you're bisexual or straight please by all means try to actually talk to women especially if it's about that, and don't be shy. If she's not interested then find someone else because concent is key in these situations. To the cis women of the fandom don't let people judge you. Be yourself and if you're a mursuiter by all means do that stuff and ignore what people think about what your do. I can't stress this enough how important women are to our fandom ie trans, cis or otherwise. This is not a means to getting someones rocks off, this is about self-expression and we need more of that especially from our female members. So that said please take care of yourselves and please support the women of the furry fandom as they've done alot for us so we should support them
