Call for stories - anthology
Edwin_at_work contacted the Thursday Prompt looking for writers wishing to submit a story for his anthology on 'furries doing a job interview'. We went back and forth, covering the details, and my feelings are - it's a good and worthy project. He has read our prompters and likes what he sees.Yes, it is a paid submission should your story be one of those accepted.
Edwin is a furry job coach, and I can think of nothing better for the fandom than this form of help. Trust me, after 44 years in aviation, I can tell you all sorts of stories about job interviews, which range from the simple (they feel your wrist for a pulse, and hire you on the spot) to the complex (one, two interviews - a job test - interview with second highest, smile and a handshake from the president - rejection letter).
You may view the submission page through this link: https://edwinatworkanthology.carrd.co/#
There are a few place holders, but you will get the drift.
Good luck to those of you who submit. Always remember, you are a writer, and we are all writers together.

Having said that, I have stories in the works that will at some point need scenes somewhat along these lines. I'll have to think on it.

I will prob give this a go, since slice of life is definitely my thing. Curious to see how quickly the prompts are "filled".
Also, the timing is subject to change. The final goal is to secure a quality submission for each of the prompts. That may require some additional time...
Take a look at my comment at the end of this post and feel free to ask me any questions.

PS: No one gets taught or trained for how to look for/apply to a job. That is one of the key reasons for creating the anthology.

There are 18 prompts in total. Situations include topics like: submitting applications using a formal-sounding email address, how to respond to recruiter calls, ways to build a resume, and how to "warm up" for a job search. Some prompts are about interviewing, but others focus on job searching and resume writing.
I have posted two example stories on the project website that give a flavor for what we are looking for:
https://edwinatworkanthology.carrd.co/#ex1
https://edwinatworkanthology.carrd.co/#ex2
Finally, the first batch of prompts are scheduled to open on June 14th, but I am happy to send you prompts in advanced if you are curious. Feel free to note me.
Thank you in advance!
