Washing Prompt & The Bad Guys 2
The washing prompt: As Hubert Humphry used to say, 'I'm pleased as punch.'
This particular prompt really sparked a surge and enjoyment in the writing process, and I can honestly say, I was very impressed with all the postings. Though I am not a teacher, I believe this rather creative prompt certainly did give all of us some insight into examining the details of an 'every day' event in our lives and then putting those details into words. Kudos to everyone.
Now then, being we had a grandchildren's day yesterday, we went to see 'The Bad Guys 2'. I'm pleased to say, it was a lot of fun, and contained a good moral at the end - not to mention a happy ending.
On a personal note of observation - this sort of movie is wonderful because, it allows the ordinary, every day people of our society to step out of reality without the fear of being ridiculed for doing so. The particular grouping of characters used just seems to emphasize this without seeming to do so. The good/bad guys movie has, a wolf, a fox, a shark, a piranha, a snake, and a spider as main characters. Other sub-main characters included, a cat, a bird, a pig, and humans.
As you watch this chaotic grouping of creatures, you don't even seem to notice what they are, except really, really funny. The shark, as big as he is, has no problem walking, as do the other characters physically incapable of doing so in nature. I especially laughed when the bird told everyone the piranha looked like a mango with teeth - and sure enough, he did.
At the end of the movie, after the trailer, there was a small part that strongly hinted at a third movie to come our way. I do hope so, for my own enjoyment, but also for the enjoyment of the world at large which, for the most part, thinks we furs are a little more than strange - to which I would tell them, 'join the party'.
Now go - write - and above all else, love life.
