is it worth playing diablo 4 for a person who has never played other parts (and for those who are familiar with the "quality" of Blizzard games firsthand)?
I only picked it up because a friend wanted to play.
Some quick background with my experience in Blizzard games: D2 hard core in my teenage years. Warcraft 3, SC, SC2, WoW all the way to Wrath of the Litch King. Overwatch.
They are okay, I would say that I used to spend about 20-30 hours a week (mostly Blizzard) gaming, now I average around 10-14 hours a week (not Blizzard games). If you like really grindy games, go for it. It is expensive, it's literally the first 70$ USD game I've purchased ever. My friends are on console and I'm on PC, the cross play experience was terrible, bugs with voice chat and party chat immediately. And then today they had to perform "Live Maintenance" and its kicked everyone out of the servers and it's been down for two hours.
My initial experience has been pretty terrible, but if you aren't playing with a group or friends. And if you enjoy grinding solo, then pick this up if it ever goes on sale. Otherwise stay the hell away from it.
