I saw this AWESOME Australian Shepard at the county animal shelter, but found out that because I'm in school for vet tech, and my school uses that site for teaching, we can't adopt out an animals from there or anywhere else that was go to for the hands on stuff. D:

Aw...that's really a shame. And kind of odd... You would think they'd *want* to find good homes for the animals. >_>;

I think it's just cause we work on the animals there. It's a policy with the school, not with the animal shelter. xD

Aw, that's a shame. And the parents sound pretty lame. :/ Unless they have a severe allergy or something. Otherwise, c'mon, it's a cat! Cats....sleep, and purr, and meow when they need deli-cat inserted in their mouth-hole. What's the big deal? :P

It is lame. I live in the basement apartment so my parents wouldn't even have to deal with him. My mom HATES cats, so of course she didn't want him. But she's basing everything off of the cats we had when I was a little girl. - They ended up peeing all over the house and destroying furniture, so she's biased. My stepdad is allergic, but like I said I'm in the basement...so it wouldn't really matter. *sigh* I just didn't want to deal with the drama and shit that it would cause if I did bring him home. I want Meeko to go to a loving place...and I'm sure he'll find a good home.

And oh lord...a Malamute would not fly either XD;;

Even better idea, find a whole litter of newborn kittens and bring them home at night, and carefully place them in a neat line across yer mum while she sleeps. At least one should be placed upon her forehead. Then wake her. :D

y'know i've had the same thing at my house i found a kitten in august and brought him to my house but my dad got me by the neck and kicked my sensless until i agreed to get rid of rodger , i feel for you but there is one thing you can do you can incorperate him into one of your charaters i did that with rodger. i get laughed at but anyone that laughs pays hell so sorry about your kitty

Aw, I'm so sorry to hear about that. T.T That actually kind of happened to me too when I was younger. My friend brought a kitten over for me to keep and I had it for a night before I had to get rid of her. My parents (my mom especially) hate cats. My stepdad is allergic...but since I live in the basement apartment it wouldn't really affect him. I guess I just didn't want to deal with the drama. ~_~ And I'm sure Meeko will find another loving home... but I just got my hopes up too high.

You probably should have asked them before putting in the application, it would have spared some disappointment.

At the same time, at least there will be more cats in the future. Once you get a place of your own you can go looking for the perfect kitty for you.
