i was wondering if you would mind the night furies being able to talk in my comic π
If you're okay with that, I will continue to do so ^^

#1: They were able to talk in the original source material.
#2: They are very expressive and vocal, and are clearly able to convey at least some things to each other.
#3: Facial expressions, body language, vocalizations, etc. are a lot harder to depict in still images.
I would say the best approach would be to, yes, enable them to talk. Just not with speech bubbles; with "translation" boxes that imply they're communicating in their normal, not-comprehensible-to-the-average-Viking way as they typically do and which are being translated as a courtesy to the viewer.
That is of course very dependent on which dragons are used.
In cases like Dragonheart I don't mind the dynamic between Bowen and Draco, where they could both speak to eachother.
But in something like How to Train Your Dragon I always pictured it that the dragons can speak among themselves, but they cannot be understood by humans. Likewise humans can't understand them outside of their body language.
So in that universe, the dragons speaking to the humans directly I would be a bit put off by, but not if the dragons can just converse between themselves.
