MineCraft modding troubles...

Hey everyone, I am sorry to say but... I am having trouble adding on content to my mod. The mobs work fine, but it's the weapons/tools that I am having a hard time with. If anyone knows how to mod better than I, could you please share some tips to a newbie MineCraft modder?

Not that I'm aware of. But, I think I know the solution to my problem. I'm pretty sure that I'll need to add a recipe add-on separate from the weapon/tool.

Well video games tend to get soft updates sometime to fix some bugs

I did get it to work for a little while, but only by turning off "MC version >=1.16.0". And it didn't apply the weapons/tools in the right slot.
