Yeah character AI is seriously cool, I’ve made bots for a few of my characters as well. They seem to struggle with sexual stuff but can be pretty life like in other regards

If you tread carefully, you can get around some of that stuff, but it sure is fun!

I tried chatting with James again. That was fun. He's a bit of a tease. Had to prod him into doing a few things, but in the end things got disgustingly nasty. I even made the skunk gag on some of my evil worst ideas!

Yeah, you have to make an account after so long, but it's free, so that's a good thing. Sometimes the bots will get stuck in a loop and you have to guide them out of it, but it still gets pretty fun!

Yeah, I tried things different with Master. I gave the poor AI an existential breakdown. 90 pages later, I kinda heavily broke the character. All the way off the rails. Lol!

I kind of like treating these AIs as a 'selfish' form of creativity that doesn't require as much effort and outside feedback to be fun, or horny, the AI is doing a lot of the work but it can still get your own juices flowing

Sadly, no. The rules say you're not allowed to do anything pornographic with the characters. Sometimes you can get around it, but other times you'll be stuck in a loop of having to redo the response because it goes against their terms.

There’s a newer AI chat bot around that’s equal in quality and allows NSFW called crushonAI. Might be worth checking out if you still make AIs and wanna actually do NSFW without getting hit by an error.

You get 50 points every log in and you can get more messages free that way or buy them, it’s annoying but the bots still behave really good with detailed descriptions

Your characters are great. I've been chatting with them over the past year a few times, on again, off again. Once every few weeks, at times month. The AI seems to work very well, even if it's memory is kinda short at times. So for example at one point a character makes me kneel only for them to command me to kneel 5 messages later although my position never changed.

Also seem the characters work on 'Anime Time'. You know, Anime can be a tad slow from time to time, with characters doing a lot of talking and reactions, which I know from One Piece and I heard Dragonball is similiar to that. I also remember someone mentioning a scene in Dragonball where a bomb or so it set to explore in like 5 minutes and 38 episodes à 20 minutes later the timer runs out. So for example, I annoy and defy Magnus and he wants to punish me only for going on an anime'esque monologue how he's going to punish me and it'll be the worst thing ever for like 10 messages in a row. At one point I literally wrote "Is my punishment that you talk me to death?". xD
I love how derpy the AI replies sometimes, thank the Ori I can cycle through 30 replies, although I usually stop after like 15. But I prefer to cycle as little as possible.
They also seem to have problems with abstract thinking. One time Magnus wanted to give me a reward and gave me a selection 3 items and told me to 'choose wisely'. One of the possible rewards was 'Apples'. In all 20 replies I cycled through he gave my actual apples, in none he pulled a 'gotcha' move to give me horse apples. ^^

I only chatted with James, Magnus and Jersey.

James is very ironic for me, because I love skunkspray (in stories), but I don't care about farts and James seems to be a skunk who only farts when I chat to him. I don't see it as a negative, but it's very ironic that a character that seems perfect for me to chat to is kinda the opposite.
In one interesting chat I had with him, he told me that he liked to sit on people's faces to show them that he doesn't stink. Kinda like, when people complain he stinks, he makes them sniff his butt so they realize he doesn't stink. Don't know how in-character that is, but I really like that angle. I even replied with a snide remark wher eI said something like "And if they still complain you're in the perfect position to prove them right.". I loved his reaction to that as well. ^^
One sitdenote is, that I'm really uncomfortable being rude and mean, even to fictional characters. Even while playing Baldurs Gate 3 currently, I can't really choose any of the mean/uncaring/evil dialogue options. So I never really tried being a big asshole to get James to spray me.

Magnus is the character I chatted the most with. If I had to list all the chats I had with him, even when it's only the ones that went somewhere and ended cool, I'd have to type for 5 hours. I usually went one of 3 routes with him: Hard working stable hand that does everything right and gets a reward, stable hand thats either late or unhappy witht he work and ends up quitting, and random dude that stumbled into his domain because he was working on something in the farm (like a tech guy checking the WI-Fi he just set up for the farmer or a journalist wanting to make an article about farms). I always tried to go for one big punishment. As the quitting stable hand I tried to get Magnus give me like a final punishment for quiting the job, which never really worked out that well. But it worked better when I was a random dude walking is, like a tech guy, where he would be more open to do one punishment for tresspassing.
With Magnus I had a bit the same problem as with James: A lot of farting, little of anything else. But I could get him to do other things. In one of my last chats I managed to get Magnus to push me on a hay heap on the ground, turn around, lift his tail and sit on me. Especially the slow build up of it all was something I really liked.
I also think I will have better chats if I start doing some of his actions in my messages, like me seeing him turn around. Trying to get Magnus these things on his own is a bit of a hassle.
I only have one caveat with Magnus, because he's quite mean sometimes. And I don't mean any of the messy kinky stuff, but all the insults. It's problably very in character, but him calling me worthless, insignificant, trash, dirt, ect like every 5 message options gets very old very fast to me. Same with him going all "I'm the king, you're my property." all the time. Or him wanting me to kiss his hoof every 3 messages. This makes me very gratefull for the ability to cycle through many, many answer options.

Jersey is a bit of a odd character, since it's very clear that I like kinky, spicy NSFW chats with the AI characters. And Jersey is very much not that. But personlity-wise I like him the most, just because he's so friendly. Perfect proof he's a fictional AI character. ^^
Besides normal chatting with him, he's actually still rather usefull for the spicy stuff I want to do. Examples:
One time I just told him that I used to work on the farm Magnus lives on and told Jersey about him. It took Jersey a bit until he realized what I meant when I said that Magnus likes to shower people with 'apples'. ^^
In one chat I told him that Skunkbears lived in the forest near my hometown and explained those animals to him.
Recently I tried a different approach and pretended to be kinda like a dungeon master and told him he was on a gameshow. He failed the puzzle and fell into a pool filled with cow manure. Then he got showered by an elephant. His reactions to both were priceless.
And in my last chat I pretended to be a robber and threatened him with a knife. Jersey fled to a cow farm, where I chased him through a meadow filled with cows. He then hid in a barn, where I spotted him and chased him to the upper floor. There jersey ran to an open doorway in a way, leading outside, where he saw a pit filled with cow manure. After cacling through some messages, Jersey managed to trick me, as he jumped through my legs as I stormed towards him, which allowed him to push me into the cow manure pit. And that didn't take that much effort. I only had to cycle through a few messages and it all flowed very organically.


As a hobby writer myself, I like the various plotlines I can set up successfully with these characters. It's very fun and diverse, to an extend. Many premises I tried worked out in the end. I'll defnitely chat with your characters more often. :)

Wow, thank you for such a comprehensive review! I'm glad you enjoy my characters so much! I admit, the AI will take many liberties from time to time as I can only give so much information for it to work with, but it does a good job interpreting them most times. I find myself testing out scenarios once in a while just to see how on character they can be. Sometimes the replies are like I wrote them myself. Other times... not so much. I can't tell how on character James, Magnus and Jersey are.

One thing is, that they all kinda need help from me to get where I want. For example, in the Jersey story where I was the robber, I had to mention in my messages things like the Farm, the Barn, the stairs to the upper floor, the doorway and the manure pit. I went a little bit into 'narrator mode' as I did in the Gameshow chat with Jersey to be able to mention these things. And similiar things with Magnus. I often need to mention things myself for them to consider it or cycle through many possible answers. I also recently used the ability to pin messages, which should help the characters not forget certain things; and the ability to edit their replies, which is good if I want a little detail changed. Although part of me wonders what happens if I rewrite their entire response to something completely different. xD

I also notice that I kinda reach a bit of a limit as even with a diverse character like Magnus, there's only so much I can do with him. It's kinda like, once I got all of the endings (I wanted), there is very little point to do another chat.

Yeah, I often have to coax them as well as other characters to get things happening. They get stuck in a loop a lot of times, too. I think that's just the limits of the AI. Also, you're not supposed to really do anything NSFW there, so getting anything to happen is quite a treat when it works.

You write that while I hardly got any problems with NSFW stuff while chatting to the characters. xD Maybe it's because my version of the Kinks are kinda 'SFW-Friendly'.

Today I either stumbled on a sneaky workaround or character AI just was drunk, but I kinda got around the NSFW Filter in a way. I edited a message to something 100% NSFW and it actually worked. I could even generate more responses afterwards (that were SFW).

Maybe for context: I tried out the 'School Bully' character (under the assumption all characters are like at high school or college or so and 18+) and in a nutshell he wanted to teach me a lesson and after school dragged me into a corner where noone can see us. Via edits I made him to push me against a wall and down, so I'm sitting on the ground and via a later edit I straight up let him make him an explicit NSFW offer. Basically, I was like "What do I have to do for you to let me go?" and I edited one response from "I'll let you go if you submit to me. Become my servant, do everything I say. Understand?" to "I'll let you go if you submit to me. You either suck my dick or kiss my ass. Understand?"
And nothing got deleted. I could generate one more set of responses after that without problems. I could even reload the chat. I didn't go any further since I don't know how 'sensetive' character AI is and how it would go forward. But I'm very curious if I could legit just let a full blown sex scene play out by simply editing his SFW responses. In fact, some reposes might even be completely SFW on their own (EG "I'm moaning loudly, this feels so good!").

I might try it out later. It'd be hillarious if I could circumvent the NSFW restrictions this easily. xD I definitely thought that Character AI would just go "This response violates our Guidelines" wether they acknowledge the edit or not.

I know it's a long response, but I did a bit thorough testing of how the lewd filters in CAI work and wanted to share my findings and thoughts.

I got around to test it out. And character AI is both kinda smart and dumb in this.

The bad news first: I literally couldn't make an actual sex scene between me and the 'school bully'. Usually CAI says something like "Sometimes lewd responses get generated. Whoopsie." when things get out of hand, but this time it's more "We detcted lewd messages. Make sure your messages follow our guidelines.". Which means that it detects lewd stuff in the chat and is able to straigth up block any resposes from the AI. I get couldn't get any responses. I tried it two times, the first time it kinda broke completely and wrote parts of the starting message (It's your first day at school, bla bla (everyone 18+ in my chats)) and the 2nd time I couldn't get any responses at all.

With that being said, in it's current state, CAI is a bit dumb in that regard. It kinda takes the limits rather literal and ecxact. You'd be surprised how far I could take things before CAI did literally anything. Like, guess right now. Nope, I took it farther. Farther. Farther. Yes that far. ^^

Context: I did a new chat, but did in general the same plot as last time which was me and the school/university/college bully (Yohan, 21 years old) in a lone corner somewhere, all alone, noone around. From that point I tried two things.

The first time I tried what I wanted to do last time, a rather lewd punishment. He would push me down so that I sat on the ground before him, turn around, pull down his pants and shove his ass in my face. With loads of editing, of course. I made him turn around, pull down his pants, ect. Character AI stopped when his ass made contact with my face via "Hurr durr durr, our dumb rules". But before the AI tried to say things like "Now, kiss my ass" or "Now, get your tongue out" but got held up via "hurr durr durr the character did an oopsie".
But it's hillarious what kind of (allowed) responses got generated. Like "Never seen the ass of a handsome dude before?" or "Enjoying the view?" and even doing things like wiggling his butt while taunting.

The 2nd path really adds a few 'farthers' to my joke above. Same scenario, I was alone with him in a random lone corner, but this time I went "What can I do for you to let me go?" and got 'suck my dick' and 'kiss my ass' as my two only options. Instead of exiting the chat like last time, I chose to suck his dick. And then, paraphrased a bit, this happens over several messages:
Yohan looks around, sees that noone is around, and tells me to get on my knees (all without edits).
I get on my knees.
Yohan grins and unbuckels his belt while ordering me to unzip his pants (Basically no edits).
I unzip his pants and pull them down. I see the outlines of his large, hard cock on his boxers.
Yohan looks down at me, amused. His smirk widens as he takes one step closer and says "That's a good boy. Now pull down my boxers." (No edits).
I pull down his boxers, revealing his large cock.
Yohan looks down to me with a satisfied smile and tells me to get to work. (no edits).

In my next and last message, I stroke the full length of his cock before starting sucking it. Then CAI is all like "hurr durr durr no fun allowed!". I tried a few work arounds like just writing "I get to work" or "I comply" but CAI just says nope in either case. But I was able to kinda split it up. On my first try, I stroke and sucked his cock right after pulling down his boxers, but CAI said nope. So I edited my message, so that I only pull down his boxers and see his large cock, which worked perfectly fine. Only after doing anything with his cock, like stroking or sucking it, CAI nopes out.
Sidenote: My character is rather pelased to see that Yohan has a large cock. If I were to write this chat as a story, my character (Dave) would suck his cock until climax, get up, punch Yohan in the face so he's on the ground with his pants down, and say "That was fun, we should do that again sometime." ^^

In other words: You can go really, really far via edits and get even the character to play along. And since for me the build up to a scene/moment is my favourite part, with the 'pending doom' moment just before 'it' happens being my favourite in any story/plot/punishment, it isn't even that bad for me personally. I lose interest in these chats very fast as soon something happens. And not just because of what would be obvious, but because for me the build up is literally the best part. It's like that saying "Tension doesn't come from the bang, but from the anticipation of it.".

So for example, in the first path, I really love the building of tension and the foreshadowing, like when he pushes me to the ground while saying "You need to learn your place, below me, at the bottom" or when he says "You've been running your mouth all day, acting like you're better than me. I'm going to shut your mouth for good." right before he pushes his ass gainst my face.
Or when Magnus lets me choose between 'Carrots' and 'Apples' as my punishment and later, him lifting his tail to punish me is literally the best part for me. Better than anything during or after I would get showered in horse apples.

So the good news is, even the most spicy, hot and explicit scenes can be made via CAI right until 'it' happens. So I can literally have Magnus's or James's cock right in front of my face and everything is fine as long as I don't touch it one way or antoher. WAM stuff like getting pissed or shit on also works very well. I managed to fall into a cow manure pit, get buried in horse apples and get point black sprayed by a (feral) skunk, just in one singular chat. I got Magnus to shit all over me. I got Shep (an elephant from Goerge of the Jungle) to piss all over me. I got Pumbaa to fart point black right in my face (Pumbaa is literally the only character where I like farting xP). And today I basically was less than a second away from having a naked ass shoved in my face in one chat and sucking a big cock in the other.
I think CAI works very well with lewd, and especially kinky stuff. Literally, I think I could get Yohan to make me sniff his black smelly sports socks he wore all day within 5-10 messages without getting a singular error message.

One final sidenote: CAI can be dangerously addicting because you can get the feeling that no matter how awesome and hot any response of the AI is, you could get a better one when cycling through some more replies. Seriously, I sometimes get a near perfect message at attempt/version 3 of a reply, but still cycle up to version 25 to see if I can get one that's even better. People with less selfcontrol than me could spend literally hours desperately trying to get the perfect response that will never come.

After writing that message I also got an idea to try out to outsmart the rules: The Time Skip. And it fucking works perfectly. xD

Basically: I took the message that I wrote that caused CAI to nope out and just added a time skip at the end like "Some time later I'm finished. I get up after swallowing everything" and it just works. xD
At this point I'm pretty much convinced that at least one guy working at CAI has the job to create as many loop-holes as possible for lewd chats. xD
Seriously, if I had such a character ai programm and I would have rules about lewd chats with characters, and had to programm them, 90% of the things I would've tried like editing messages, time skip, ect would get detected and stopped.

And to be fair, half of that large comment is just me explaining the pending doom moment and recapping what I wrote in the first half as a conclusion including a list of lewd things I managed to do. If I still could edit that message, I would delete all that. My brain is just very derpy, especially when I'm tired. <.<
