It's tough! Looks like they're walking back the rate limits to an extent, but I honestly don't know if it can even be quantified as "walking back a ton" or "walking back a little"-- several people are still posting about hitting the rate limit.

Definitely doesn't hurt to have other options-- I saw a LOT of people I follow actually leave for good this go round. I certainly think it'll at least have a domino effect, as advertisers are not going to be interested in or happy with a website that suddenly randomly limits the screen time of its users without their consent-- their referring both to the advertisers and the users.

I think it'll have a long-lasting effect, for sure!! Things got a little more fractured than last time. But it'll probably keep kicking for a while longer yet.

I think it needs to die fast but I'm biased against all the damage it's done over the years I guess >.> And cause you know why x3

All those people who deleted their FA for twitter took all their eggs and put em in another basket,
but now the basket is on fire and the eggs have turned into moldy cheese with nails in it.

I haven't used Twitter in years now, but I can tell what's going on is pretty dumb. While what's going on may not kill it, it's definitely something that is gonna make some users abandon ship for a more supporting platform. Even if this is temporary, I still see it hurting Twitter in the long-run.

I want twitter to vanish for good and an organized move to itaku or other sites

It wouldn't be the first time Twitter has experienced a mass exodus and it likely won't be the last, but I would still suggest posting on other sites, or at least sites not run by out of touch billionaires. Even if Twitter does recover from this, it's better to spread your content across multiple platforms. You never know which one could go under. Plus, other art sites and social media platforms are generally much cozier than Twitter anyway.
