Drive Update!
EDIT: Patreon and SubscribeStar now up!
Tl;dr still working at the drive and the milestones, opening a Patreon and SubscribeStar to try and help a bit with financial strain! Ko-fi open!
So! It's been a year since the drive, and we haven't finished it. That's not good. Less good is the fact that we're still not finished with it! All of the different things are in the works, and we've been working at getting the art done and out, but unfortunately, health issues limit the amount of work we can realistically do per week without joints and the like going into full revolt.
As such, what ends up happening is we spend the week doing commission work to pay the bills, and then try and work on the drive comics and art on the weekends, but when pop-up bills and other things compound with the chronic health issues popping up, we end up behind and working overtime to keep the lights on, which pulls away from our time to work on the drive.
(Part of the lack of our posts has been from us not wanting to get too large of a queue to be able to justify taking time to work on the drive, but once we get more progress out, we'll start posting again!)
The comics are plotted out. Most of them are storyboarded. Some of them are lined and others are colored. The actual weight gain bit of the drive is partially math'd out, but the final stretch will potentially change the ending, which would itself change the game, being that it will be based on the winner.
So, it's slow going. Under no circumstances did we want this to have taken this long, and, while this was our first attempt at a drive, we still should have done better. Between the costs of the move, the costs of getting the house in order, the cost of spring up repairs, we ended up behind the eight ball about two days after we moved, and we're only just now getting out of that hole.
At this rate, however, we don't know when we'll actually be able to really and safely be able to slow commission work further to focus on the drive, and we're sorry for that. With that being said, if you want to help, we're opening a Patreon (with SubscribeStar as an alternative for those of you who prefer that), and the Ko-fi is open as well. We're always wildly thankful for any help, support, or business we get.
As it stands for now, it's going to serve as a tip-jar, though if there are things people would like to see, that's something we're up for discussing and figuring out. We could use it as a place to post stories Mira's written that we hadn't seen fit to post on the page, warm up sketches, or just a portal to a discord where we do much the same. When work on the game starts, or any project, we can post wips there or something similar if that's of any interest.
Let us know your thoughts! Thanks as always for your continued support and potential patronage!
