So, is everyone dragging their tails back to FA now?
Apparently 'social media is over' with people 'retreating to smaller communities and forums based around common interests'.
Does that mean we all hang out on FA again? I'm not sure I can remember why we left...
Anyone else here?
[Edit] So I guess while I'm seeing loads of furries on Twitter say they might head back to FA, they haven't got here yet.
It's just all you lot who never left. And even one or two who are considering leaving. :P

FA+

It’s like everyone forgot about it
You'll have to treat me like someone who just walked through the door, carrying pizza boxes with a surprised expression.
panicked, er, remained calm and let logic rather than emotion guide them.]
'Oh, you don't like what *I* do?! I'm gonna go start my own website with poker! ...and hookers!'
...then they realize that there isn't really a lot out there that accepts what they're interested in.
Others were doing 'prep work' just in case they had to leave. Opening other accounts and duping their content there just in case the admins and mods here singled them out.
It happened when they cracked down on people writing actual detailed journals on how to have sex with your pets.
It happened when they basically banned cub porn (though I've since seen it here and there with no apparent issues, so who knows what the rules are at this point?).
And the way they rolled out this other rule was vague enough that even I made some effort to understand what it was they were trying to ban. It sounded for a bit like any small, short, youthful or naturally undeveloped (read as 'no boobs') character would be auto banned and the accounts attached to them would as well.
It also doesn't help that for some reason, FA is plagued by people who don't work for the site, but seem to believe they need to scan through potentially years of content for ANY small thing that might violate a site rule, even if it was submitted a very long time ago before said rule existed. The fact that the admins and mods aren't doing anything about this practice is very strange to me; if someone submitted an image of a character 10 years ago, and then you change a rule, and someone comes to report a 10 YEAR old image, why are you banning people as if said submission is that old?
Anyway. I don't see any point or reason to leave. If or when FA implodes, *then* I'll move someplace else. Until then, people have been literally doing this 'exodus, then return' thing, both individually and en masse, for a very long time. I've been here for decades, and I see it over and over. It's nothing new.
For social media, I'm on fediverse sites coz I'm tired of VC funded BS.
But without the engagement-driving algorithms, that kinda broke my addiction to checking my feed so now I mostly get my socializing from realtime chats (mostly Telegram currently)
I do hope that furries repopulate more furry spaces, though
There's something to be said for community websites that aren't owned by some big conglomerate.
Even a lot of furs joined that new place called Bluesky, which is a replacement created by the Twitter's team themselves
