I charge 2 cents per word.
So 1,000 words is about $20
I mainly write SFW, maybe some light NSFW stories though I don’t have much practice.
If you’re unsure how long you want a story to be, I have a few base options below:
Flash story: 500 words and under, $10 or less
Short story: Around 1,000, or $20
Normal story: Around 2,000, or $30
Word count doesn’t need to be exact, it has to be a rough estimate, say 1,000 words, and I will try to meet the requirement. If I feel I need more words to make a good story, say I need 1,500 and the requirement was 1,000, I will only charge for the required amount and no more, or if I finish the story with less words, say 800, then I will charge for the 800 instead of the 1,000.
Ultimately, the final story length is up to me.
I also am dipping my hand into poems, so if you want to have a poem written, then feel free to ask. The current options for poem lengths go as follows:
Charging .50 cents per line;
Haiku: 1 stanza, short and simple, about $2
Acrostic or Free verse: 2 - 3 stanzas, short and doesn’t need to rhyme, can be $4-$6 or more
Sonnet: 4-5 stanzas, decent length and following a rhyming scheme, can be $8-$10 or more
Villanelle: 5 or more stanzas, longest length and following a rhyming scheme, $12 and up.
Note that with Free Verse, I can make it as long as you would like, though it will add to the price, .50 cents more added line.
Payment, which will be through PayPal, will be required near the end of the final draft, when the commissioner agrees the story is ready for the final touches. The story will be watermarked until payment is given as well. I reserve the right to cancel the commission for any reason, as well as decline any commission. If you’re unsure if I am willing to write about something, then feel free to ask and I will see if I can or cannot work on such.
Please remember that I am a person and I have a life and full-time job outside of writing, so please be patient with me as I write. Some stories will be done much faster than others, and I will keep in touch with the commissioner throughout the entire process, preferably through Discord.
