This is just more proof that the "Guidelines" are arbitrary. I cannot tell the diff between the okay stuff and the not okay stuff. And the only thing I think would be disallowed under their guidelines was okay for some reason??

I'm still waiting to hear back about mine, I just asked them to look through my gallery and point out anything since I cannot be bothered to look through over 3k pieces and GUESS at what might be disallowed. I have more important shit to do and if they wanna ban me about stuff that was okay when I posted it that's their choice, I guess.

It's completely unworkable! Instead of having any idea if something is acceptable here or not, it's just going to be the sorta place where stuff that *might* run afoul of the rules gets posted all the time, and if you're unlucky enough that someone wants to narc you get to roll the dice on how a mod is feeling on that particular day.

... which is basically exactly how this rule was moderated a few years back anyway

As someone who just deleted a bunch of Aggretsuko comics which featured on model character in office related situations, I can second the notions that this is an arbitrary rule.
I ended up making a second ticket and listing every thing in my gallery that featured any character with smaller proportion. There is no real way I can tell what made a picture of Isabelle unacceptable while a picture of Judy Hopps with similar proportions was fine.

Seeing them hit you with that is one of the most egregious I've come across!!

"This doesn't ban chibi characters" but the big head animal people from the series where everyone is pretty explicitly an independent adult aren't allowed. Your isabelles had way more 'mature' proportions even!

Maybe the mod team just has the same sorts of weirdos who gave Morbi a hard time for making sex jokes with her way back lmao. Some of these decisions might make a bit more sense if the problem is less "too child like" and more "too innocent" in their eyes.

I hope they actually give you a gallery check, when I asked for one after getting my initial ticket back, they told me I have to list everything out each item I want reviewed individually. Which suuuuuuuuuuuuucked.

for real, if they give me a response like that I'll just cancel my FA+ and take the ban if they give it. I do not have the time or will to go through all my work, hemming and hawing over whether its "aged up" enough or not.
Generally, I think all my characters (except maybe some plushies?) look totally adult, but it's not my opinion or intention as an artist that matters and they've made that abundantly clear with this policy.

Yeah. I get that they have some manpower issues, but it really feels like they're punishing their more prolific creators with these rules. Between the arbitrary definitions and the looong response time, I just feel like a sucker for actually trying to go along with the rules. If I had a bigger gallery I don't even think I would have got this far.

I also plan to have a full gallery mirror on my personal website someday. This one is dependent on me feeling like doing web development for fun in my free time outside of doing web development full time, so it might take me a bit to get round to it lol

It is so difficult to understand what they want from their users here. Just seeing a few of the examples you provide here expands what I think the rule change includes.

That is a good point I hadn't thought of yet. FA has quite a few mods. I can in no way trust that they all know how to implement the new rule. If they had more guidelines on how to impliment these rules, why wouldn't we? It is going to be a free-for-all in the coming months in regards with what content is considered fit for removal.

What they likely want is the impetus to delete anything they want, at any time, likely as an attempt at cleaning the site's more controversial content up a bit for potential advertisers/marketers. Running a website is expensive and FA+ is absolutely not gonna cover costs. Thats my theory at least, and means that harder kink stuff and feral content is next.

Definitely this. The money sources sway opinion more than consumers ever could. A free and open internet isn't profitable and cannot exist in a capitalist economy. Unless we start paying to use websites with money, we will have to pay for it in the metaphorical sense. We will suffer and the internet will be dismantled by megacorportions. And porn sources are the first to go, in order of decreasing controversialness.
