Anthrocon 2023 Recap

General
Man, this is the time where you wish a week would last a month! It was fabulous.
Highlights for me: experiencing the Drury hotel for the first time. I can't thank
dumarsi enough for recommending it, this will definitely be my choice hotel for AC. Wednesday after watching my heart sink seeing The Exchange near the Westin shuttered down, I ran back to my room to find the next nearest location. I then took a long leisurely walk down Grant Street, left on 5th Avenue, right on Ross Street, left on 2nd Avenue walking past the Allegheny County jail (!!) then over the 10th Street bridge before making a Louie down East Carson Street and entering the store. Met up with the same sales clerks from the old location which closed last November. Walked out with $200 worth of goodies. And of course I'd be remiss if I failed to mention meeting my forever friend, the Westin security officer William Kisner and his police colleagues. After meeting up again with
kootiebirdo I finally got to meet for the first time
tavimunk and
vulprofox over the weekend, two moments I'll cherish forever.
After scoring art from my usual choice artists
cooner and
toonfx along with buying a
nicnak044 gift for
loosetiger762 , taking in the sights and good vibes and fighting through my chronic leg pain, despite not having guests of honor this year it was a fabulous and drama-free experience from start to finish. Same time, next year!

One of these days I might be able to make it there and I'd love to meet you irl. n.n You seem like, super chill and approachable. :)
Awesome! Yes, I am super chill and approachable. It helps that I maintain that attitude/disposition in an increasingly zany world.
