Anthrocon 2025 Recap
It's been two weeks since the con ended, and I still can't shake the feeling it ended as soon as it began. Despite that, I managed to have a good time despite several friends not being able to attend. I managed to belt out two new mashups from my hotel room.
First two days it rained, but that didn't stop me from walking over the 10th Street bridge to The Exchange on East Carson Street where I bought roughly $400 worth of audio/video goods. Then I took an Uber to the Pirates gift shoppe and bought another Roberto Clemente shirt for dad.
Met up with Bill Kisner again on Thursday, and gave him and his grandson my annual gifts. Last summer he lost his Star of David necklace, so I promised him I'd give him mine. He nearly burst into tears when he put it on.
Massive turnout like last year, plus the heat and my left hip kept arguing with me. Artist Alley was a joy as always, getting my usual summer commissions from
cooner and
toonfx. The after-hours art exhibit and Sunday brunch were fabulous.
Just when I thought the con would end on a sad note, right place right time I met up again with
dissimulated. I promised I'd arrange a new reference sheet from him next month.
And I made sure to bookend my stay with visits to Giovanni's Pizza & Pasta. It was fun, and I can't wait to come back next year.

Sounds like you had a better time than me. I don't mean I didn't have fun, I just wish i did more and met more people there.
