Oh a quite personal question and an unasked one at that. If the “my death” is in reference to the girl formally named “Audrey Inkwell”, she took exception to our partnership and decided she wanted out. Hard to say if she got what she wanted in the end though.

As for me being seen by others, while my host can see me whenever i manifest, i only allow others to see me if i want them too. Would be rather inconvenient if someone were to spot me and the ghost facers suddenly showed up on campus.

Ah, so, Gretchen isn't your first host, and How many hosts have you had?

I stopped counting after about 80, they were not as notable as my more recent host bodies.

Interesting.~ So, although you can decide on if others can see you, does any part of you show up on electrical equipment/sensors, and can animals sense you?

There are methods to detecting my presence outside my control. Hence why i reside in Gretchen unless i which to converse.

Other than it being a one way process, are there limits to your power, such as how much you can warp reality?

I'm somewhat limited by my nerd taste in how I can transform someone, at current the amount of control I have regarding the warping is...loose at best.

I'd prefer not to bore you with scientific jargon so in a layman's terms: I alter you in the present and the universe autocorrects your past to make that nerd version of you possible within the new present. I have some flexibility to mold physical and some mental attributes during the transformation itself but, until I gain more power I can't do a complete and controlled rewrite of someone's existence nor do I have control of any collateral of what the timeline does to my target or those within their circle of relationships.

I suppose the other main limitation of my ability is range, being that my warping ability comes from victims breathing in my gas they have to be close enough for me to get them to breath it in and that...depends a bit on Gretchen's physical location.

And the biggest problem with my ability is that I can't have any witnesses during the moment of transformation. Anyone who observes the process at any point will have they're memories intact from the old timeline, something to do with "creating a fixed point in the timeline" or something. It is quite infuriating that I may not simple pump my gas into the vents and put the whole school under my thrall, but the risks of stragglers is too great.

A school full of Gretchens, that's quite a thought.

Speaking of annoyances, Do you have any kind of rival or major threats to your plans?

Oh yes there are. Sadly, i am not the only one of my kind and we are all quite territorial. My hope is i have enough strength before we start butting heads again.

And then there are those mortals who hunt us…honestly haven’t heard any activity from them in ages. Oooo if they all died out that would put a smile on my face.

When the being now known as Gretchen became your host, did they learn any.. "forbidden knowledge" from you, in the process? Or, did you get anything from them, that you weren't exactly wanting? You share bodies/minds, right?

Gretchen only knows what i want her to know. Any forbidden knowledge comes from me because it benefits us both. As for unwanted surprises, probably her resilience to my influence compared to other host bodies I’ve shared.

As for our body and mind relationship, I inhabit her body certainly but I don’t control her mind beyond her initial transformation and my honey dipped words. We can communicate thru telepathy but she has her own free will for the moment. Best she not gaze into my thoughts for the sake of her own sanity.

Couple of niche questions, to finish off my current "barrage", as it were, what does Gretchen think of her braces, and does she have any other as of yet unseen orthodontic appliances?

And has she ever been on roller skates before?~

While Gretchen may hate her new braces, difficult to clean, difficult not to talk with a lisp, I think they’re great on her. If she ever smiled it would be like entering a diamond mine.

She doesn’t have anything else orthodontic related…though would it kill her to get something for her snoring? She sounds like chain saw in her sleep.

To my knowledge no, granted I’m only privy to her current memories…but i can see if i can make rollar babe Gretchen happen.

Not sure on stuff for snoring, but there's plenty of appliances to get, that'd make her even more of a dork.~

1. Why have you chosen to transform people into nerds or was it not a choice? Is that just what you do?
2. What is your favorite thing about Gretchen? Or if you can't just chose one you can name more than one.
3. Do you think that making Gretchen smarter might have been a mistake on your part? She's resistant to your goals. Do you worry about her getting in your way?
4. Now that you've started transforming others besides Gretchen, do you have any control over them still? Or are they free to live their new lives?

Currently single but I’m busy with my personal projects, no time for romance you see

1.I suppose you can say it is my transformation of choice if only because it is my only choice. I don’t mind as I’ve honed my nerd craft for many years and i pride myself in my adorkable creations
2. I love the way she squirms when she tries to talk to people, her awkward fidgeting is too cute to watch. Also her pigtails, i style those every morning for her.
3. Being resilient and smart is certainly a problem but nothing I can’t deal with. While her tolerance to my power is unexpected, i came into this partnership knowing that this could happen. But time is on my side and she’ll be seeing things my way one way or another
4. Hmm i suppose the best way to say is they’re autonomous till i have need of them. They will always be under my thrall whether they realize it or not.

Does gretchen miss anything from her old reality/like anything about her new one?

She does miss being able to like sports and working out. Whenever she tries to train she gets winded quickly and watching any sports in tv makes her glaze over. It’s so cute that she tries to be what she once was.

I believe she also misses many of her old connections from her past life. Pretty much lost her entire social circle. But really she only needs me and our nerdlings to be happy.

Are you able to take control of gretchen all the time, or is it only when she's asleep? And what happens to her, if so, if she's awake? Does she black out?

In truth i can take control of Gretchen whenever i so desire but i have reasons not to for the moment, her being asleep makes it easier for me to get things done for my plans or amusement~

Well well well~ seems we've reached the number of questions for the final secret. You're certainly an inquizative sort, I like that.

1. All creatures need some form of nourishment to work at 100% and my kind are no different. I do relish the chaos and misery of humans, dark emotions give rise to haunted sites after all. Places, where the emotions of humans turn sour and dark, are like a spa day for me.

2. As of this moment I'm lacking reliable allies, the trouble with my kind is we're not as cooperative as mortals can be. As for mortal allies, I suppose Gretchen's new friend Zelda is one even if she isn't aware of it.

3. Pretty bold of you to think I would divulge such knowledge to just anyone online, doing so would be like doxxing your address. Though I suppose I can release one flaw in my beautiful design to make it fair.

Should my host die in any fashion that's not considered "peaceful", I become bound to either the place they died, their remains, or if I'm so lucky a object or item that they were so attached to that it is considered a part of them. That last one can be tricky as the item has to be on them when they perish and it's rare for that to happen to begin with.
