To be honest, I didn't recognized both of them until you pointed it out.
But I still don't really get the problem.
DC is know for putting every of there series in its own parallel universe and in this on, things are just different from in the original.
Unlike Marvel that is constantly retconning there originals to cash in on a new trend, this series just is it's own thing and can just be viewed as not canon.
The old the series and comics are still there for us to watch, read and enjoy.

And speaking of, I'm going to rewatch the old Animated Series now.

Like...for real, what are these designs? I have nothing against fembois - not my type irl, I personally like me a guy who's built like a tank - but this really REALLY isn't the first thing when I think "Superman"...and I'm about as straight as the Sun is cold, ffs! I'd ask "Why don't they just bother making their own IP with this idea?" but then again...we all KNOW why they won't: less notoriety, less interest, less returns, less fucks given.
