Deceased Users
On a whim I was looking through some old art which brought me to looking at some old profiles which brought me to noticing some users who had passed quite a while ago haven’t had their accounts put into memorial status.
So I open up a ticket for Draconis aka Jugular Jaguar aka Calamity Cougar to see about having his accounts updated. Just after I submit the ticket I notice I had submitted a similar ticket for Trigger Happy Squirrel about a year ago. And that ticket had apparently been closed with the note that you have to provide an obituary or news article proving they passed away. And apparently linking to their wiki fur article isn’t enough. So I guess I can expect the same response to this ticket :/
It’s been so long since I created this account, did I provide my Real Life name when I did so? Does everyone provide their real life information when creating an account? An obituary is almost certainly not going to mention their fursona, even if it did there are names that overlap. Unless you have people who are well known in the fandom, how do you know the person in the obituary is the person on FA? And if they’re well known in the fandom, why do you require an obituary article when it’s also well known they had passed away?
Guess some accounts will appear alive until you look at the last time they submitted/faved something or there are a ton of comments mentioning sorrow at their passing.

Yeah, those are some real conundrums we face in this kind of anonymous digital sphere. Kinda sad to think about, that you worry why somebody has not been active in so long and you just don't know what happened to them.
