Can I get clarification as to why I was booted from your server? 'cause right now it feels like I was booted just for asking for a source to the art somebody posted

You were booted from the server for accusing another member of posting art that you thought was a patreon exclusive, due to the artist not having posted it yet. The art was of their fursona and was a commission they had paid for, not a patreon exclusive art piece.

What was I supposed to conclude? The user would not reveal the source AND I couldn't find it in any of the artist's public galleries. 9 times out of 10 that indicates leaked patreon art. The user only revealed the source after I shared that conclusion. Why is this considered grounds to boot *me* from the server, and without so much as a warning?

The art was of their fursona, they have posted their sona multiple times in the server, in both the sfw and nsfw channels. Why would you jump to the conclusion that it was not a commission first? You accused him of posting leaked patreon art and the artists name was on the artwork in the corner, clearly visible

Unless it's a work-for-hire the artist retains all rights to the finished product. You keep bringing up that it's their fursona and was a commission but neither of those means it couldn't still potentially be a patreon exclusive- I follow several artists who keep some commissions exclusive to their patreon (or other similar services) for a few months. Most leaks keep the artist name visible too so I'm not sure how that is relevant either.

I just don't see why I'm the one who is punished here when the user wouldn't reveal the source of the art until backed into a corner. Could it perhaps be because the user is a friend of yours and you're feeling protective of them since they got all worked up and left the server over it?

hate to break it to you. but artist can say whatever they want. if i pay for a commission of my character im posting it where i want. not an argument you want to have with me after recent events. you were also a complete ass to one of my friends to such an extent that he left the server to get away from you. where he gets his commissions is none of your business. and "99% of the time its patreon exclusive art" is ridiculous. commissions are not patreon exclusive art

I'm not familiar with what happened, but there's a few short-comings in this response that I wanted to point out. First and foremost, there's nothing wrong with being 'worked up' and upset after someone accuses you of baseless wrong-doing. Perhaps they didn't reveal their sources fast enough for you, but fact of the matter is that you're not really entitled to demand anything from them. If they didn't want to reveal their source, that's fine. If you suspect genuine wrong doing, you should have gone to the artist, before resorting to harassing the individual.

Secondly, there's nothing wrong with being protective over a friend, as discord groups (like the one being discussed) are a social hangout for friends and other like-minded individuals. While I agree an overwhelming majority of furries are way too sensitive to confrontation, considering the responses given here it's clear you weren't a good fit for the server. I'm sure morality and fairness matter to them too, but the objective of a group is to be fun first and foremost.

I regret not screencapping the conversation before I went to bed last night. I was not harassing or bullying anyone, but of course now it's my word against theirs.

I am just gonna go ahead and point out that ultimately being in any discord server is a privilege. Not a right. And the staff of any server has the right to revoke that privilege for whatever reason they see fit.
