So, I have this printer/scanner/fax machine/copier thingy. I got it a few years ago, and I could never get it to work with my Mac (my desktop), and I had never thought, before now, to try to hook it up to my laptop. So, I lugged the thing into my basement, got it's power cord all hooked up, and it turns on, so I know it works, then I plugged the USB thing into my computer, and that's where the question is: every time I do, it says that it's an unknown device, and I have absolutely no idea how to fix this.. can anyone help me?
