I vaguely do. I got a couple of episodes saved on my Plex server. Was hell for me to catch whenever they aired it back in the 80s since i was watching and recording other cartoons when it was on heh.
Vaguely. Only survived one season, and like many a toon with a "goal" back then, the goal wasn't reached prior to the cancellation of the series. (See Dungeons & Dragons for another example, though the ending had at least been written)
* the original captain crunch was good.. but for me.. if it had to be dry cereal.. Captain Crunch *PEANUT BUTTER!!* ( that or Honey Comb.. that also had a good sweet and balanced taste if eaten dry ... super golden crisp was nice, even dry, but it always had a SLIGHT aftertaste that milk made better.. )
It was a Marvel Productions show that came out in 1982. Back in the 80's there were a lot of cartoons they tried spinning as a regular series, but most of em didn't make it past the first season.
Yeah, the laugh track... I surely don't miss canned laughter...
I guess even the 80s was an era where they tried everything to see if it stuck, not that I'd mind such things so long as the stories aren't homogenized like today.
Oh good lord of fandoms. I barely remember this. But the greater comedy is that if you look at the copyright, it's a Marvel production. These 3 pandas could be in the MCU!
Hoo boy, 4 years before my time. As hokey as that was, I wasn't expecting the "Flowers for Algernon" reference, and I appreciated the girl getting back at the dude who was working overtime with that quip about him "not bowing when I'm around" , given he still couldn't afford a plane ticket and he seemed to mostly only appreciate her having a credit card.
I actually thought that line was funny; the one joke where they didn't have a laugh track. Go figure.
Huh. Maybe they were referencing Flowers for Algernon...
The other reference they made was likely toward Peter Yarrow from Peter, Paul and Mary. The human male character in the show was called Peter Darrow.
true, but maybe they were grateful while enduring schlock, and perhaps someone in that writer's room was desperately trying to point them towards something better X3
I know of it.. have not thought about it for a long LONG time.. I thought the concept was interesting.. but sadly, I never got to watch any of it.. it was often on in a time slot when I was either watching something else on a different channel ( Likely the old *D&D cartoon ).. but after seeing and hearing the intro, It rings a bell in my brain from back when I was entertainingly young..
huh. I honestly don't think I have heard of this. And I watched Jabber jaws, josey and the pussycats, froggert, Tiger sharks. Hell Turbo teen but not this. Need to add to my bad shows
Jabberjaw and Josey and the Pussycats came out in the 70's, I think. Frogger, Tigersharks and TurboTeen I think were past 1982.
Pandamonium was likely between those. It had that mix of post-70's / early 80's vibe going for it.
Not much to tell. In 1980 I got a job working as a security guard at a nuke plant on the East Coast. The 1977 Dutch train hijacking was still fresh in people's minds. In our training classes, the Moluccans became the generic terrorists (it could just as easily have become the Islamic Revolutionaries from Iran). Today, of course, it's Politically Incorrect to single out any particular group, but hey, I'm Old School.
I don't remember it from when I was a kid because I'm pretty sure 4-5 year old me was watching and/or doing other stuff back then. I'm as much at a loss as to what that other stuff was as I am to having seen this show. I've heard of it a couple times as an adult, but still haven't gotten around to checking it out.

Seen this show? Nope. Never heard of it.
Probably because it never found its way across the Pacific to TVNZ.
I was watching the Dot cartoons from Australia, which they managed to ship over here back in the 80's.
But it never happened...
Thanks for the memories Dutch. *hugs*
Infact it feels like finding this is like finding the missing link in human evolution.
And there's a laugh track, so there's a bit of scooby doo in there too. Hell it FEELS like a hanabara cartoon! XDDD
...What is this show?
I do not remember this show but I was probably born at the tail end tip of the 80s, maybe that's why. XDD
Yeah, the laugh track... I surely don't miss canned laughter...
Even so neat find bro :>
I- I need more!
Dr. Doom: None shall speak of this in the presence of Doom.

I swear, the backup guitarist looks like Nigel from Spinal Tap.
Does Spaghetti double as bassist on that keyboard she carries around?
Huh. Maybe they were referencing Flowers for Algernon...

Apparently too far over 45 to have ever seen this.
The show came out in 1982.
I didn't like it, but I remember it.

There's a tale here I wanna hear.
I've actually only been outside the U.S. twice in my life, both times to Canada.
