Vet bills for horse + Ko-fi + May be slower!
Howdy everyone,
As some of you may know, I own two horses who are both the absolute best boys that I love to pieces. I had to move barns recently due to my animals not being fed correctly (or sometimes at all) so things in most departments have improved. They're both back to healthy weights and on the mend! Or at least, by 50% 🙃
Now I'm dealing with another whole new set of problems, as my second horse was exhibiting symptoms of EPM for the last few weeks. I decided after trying a few simple methods--since many other things can share EPM symptoms--to go ahead and bite the bullet on a vet bill + blood test and sure enough, my gut was right...
This is by no means the end for him and he's going to be okay! The vet even said that his chances of recovery are great due to how it's progressed (he's not to the leaning on buildings or wobbling and falling when simply walking stage. If that helps give perspective) but it does require immediate care and attention along with treatment that can be incredibly costly. And long term. This coupled with my board price increasing after we moved.
I currently have a few more ko-fi sketches open for those interested in helping out in exchange for a doodle. https://ko-fi.com/i/ID1D1NUUYT
Please do keep in mind that once the goal is met (reaches 100%) these close. So check that before sending. However, donations/tips/support in general is greatly appreciated right now while I try and navigate through all this and the other personal things I have going on. Also if you like seeing content first, getting discounts and occasionally a chance to have characters drawn, I do have a patreon that's always open!
Additionally, I may work slower from time to time-- or am online less-- due to managing all this. Regardless, I plan to open some YCHs and continue taking commissions as often as I can mentally withstand to avoid burnout getting worse. I am going to try and stream once a week too (hopefully this weekend!) I just may extend my turn around time from 7 days to 14 per standard. It will depend!!
Anyway, thank you for reading, your patience and I hope to have better news on this matter next update!! Cross your fingers for Taz (my horse) !!

I do hope Taz pulls through without any complications!

Thank you! My hopes are (currently) high, despite feeling almost afraid to say it, with how things keep progressing lol The vet was very confident that he'd recover well, given how it was manifesting. His body is clearly fighting enough to prevent the more intense symptoms but it's important to get started sooner than later to prevent additional damage from the parasites. Nevertheless, she expects he would make a excellent recovery and be able to resume trails/work. So, I'm holding onto that. :)

Ah, I'm so sorry to hear that! I hope everything works out smoothly in all departments, for you and for him! Sending only the best vibes ^^

Thank you, I am hoping so also!
