Hi All! If you don't know already, the Hawaiian Island of Maui is currently being devastated by wildfires.


"On Tuesday, August 8, 2023, a terrible combination of drought conditions and hurricane weather led to widespread wildfires across the Island of Maui. Families were forced to evacuate on short notice, many escaping with only the clothes on their backs. Information on injuries and fatalities is still coming in. Lahaina town is gone. Note, Lahaina is not just a tourist town. It is a historic town full of significant Hawaiian culture and was the capital of the Kingdom of Hawaii. Also, Hawaii has always struggled with affordable housing for native Hawaiians and locals, many of whom who are often forced to leave the islands due to the high cost of living. Many who are struggling to live in on the islands are now homeless due to the wildfires.
