**Journal Entry – August 15, 2023**
Dear Journal,
Today marks a new chapter in my artistic journey, one that fills me with excitement and determination. Lately, I've found myself reflecting on my creative pursuits and realizing that I haven't been sharing my art as consistently as I would like. That changes starting now.
Art has always been my sanctuary, a place where I can pour my emotions onto the canvas or the digital screen. It's a way for me to communicate the unspoken, to capture the beauty and complexity of the world around me. But in the midst of life's whirlwind, I've allowed my passion to take a backseat.
As I sit here with my sketchbook and a steaming cup of tea, I'm making a promise to myself. A promise to reclaim my artistic voice and share it with the world. Uploading more of my art is not just about gaining likes or followers, but about reconnecting with my truest self and inviting others to experience a piece of my heart and mind.
So, what's my plan? It starts with consistency. I've decided to dedicate a specific time each week solely for creating art. No distractions, no excuses. This dedicated time will be a sacred space where I can let my creativity flow freely without any pressure. Whether it's a quick sketch, a detailed painting, or a digital illustration, each piece will be a step towards building a more vibrant portfolio.
Of course, sharing my art is an essential part of the process. I've set a goal to upload at least two pieces every week. It's not about perfection; it's about progress. I want to show the evolution of my skills, the experimentation, and the journey of growth. With platforms like social media and art communities, I have a chance to connect with fellow artists and enthusiasts who appreciate the effort and soul I pour into my work.
To keep myself motivated, I'll document my progress in this journal. I'll jot down my thoughts, breakthroughs, and even moments of doubt. It's a way to hold myself accountable and celebrate the small victories along the way.
As I embark on this new phase of sharing my art, I'm ready to embrace the vulnerability that comes with it. Not every piece will resonate with everyone, and that's okay. What matters is that I'm staying true to myself and expressing my unique perspective.
So, here's to this exciting journey ahead – a journey filled with creativity, self-discovery, and the joy of sharing my art with the world. I can't wait to see where this path leads me.
Until next time,
Lori K Connors
