Pregnancy and Why It Won't Happen
2 years ago
I'm flattered people want to see Chris and Kelsey have a family. However, it's not going to happen. Here's why.
Starting a family is a big deal. It's a major step in anyone's life and not one to be taken lightly. I've seen enough TV and read enough comics to know raising children is not all fun and games. Basically, YOUR life is over all for the sake of this NEW life you created. Condemning Chris and Kelsey to the fate of parenthood is something I cannot do.
Besides, while I can think of lots of character development as the two skunks prepare for parenthood, it would border too much on serious drama. This is a light-hearted comedy I have created. Having Chris lament on how he's worried about whether or not he's "Dad" material is a huge tonal shift.
Remember; this is "Chris and Company", not "For Better Or Worse".
Those are my reasons; I'm sticking to them.

I wouldn't mind seeing Chris or Kelsey interact with a child (even if its not theirs). But I won't force you to think you should draw C&K with kiddy winks
Secondly, hey someone else on here has heard of "For Better or Worse". I remember watching the tv series (which I liked more than the comics), and found it interesting as each show had three segments , each one depicting a different stage of the family's lives.
Mind you, I am not seriously suggesting doing this, more just posing it as a thought experience. If there's one of many things years of being a sonic fan has taught me, "generation X" stories where we skip the actual child rearing works for ANY genre and people eat that up like some highly addictive drug.
I've also learned it's uninteresting as heck unless made just right, at least to me. So depends on who you are, I suppose.
But it doesn't mean its a Life stopper... You don't like Change too much, I get it. But with some good learning and teaching, It can lead to Greater Benefits for the Future of Self Importance if your willing to take that Route.
But now i understand your not aiming for them. I guess its safer for you when your not ready for Serious Trials in life.
besides, I'm not one for pregnancy pics. ^^;
