Status update (TW Health stuff)
Hello everyone,
I wanted to make a post about where I am at since I have been rather quiet the past several weeks. A lot of things are moving in the background - more so on the health-related side of things.
About two-ish weeks ago both Aerak and I ended up getting food poisoning. And while Aerak was able to recover relatively quickly, I was not. The episode caused me to have a Crohn's Disease flare up. It left me extremely lethargic, nausea, constant runs to the bathroom, bleeding, pain, and...more things I don't really want to go too in depth with. Needless to say, I was pretty sick. I want to apologize to those who submitted for icons and then kind of got a lot of radio silence. I've really been struggling with life stuff lately.
In an effort to try and improve my situation, I have been talking to doctors to diagnose some of the issues I deal with daily. One of those issues with the tiredness and lethargy. We knew Crohn's wasn't helping with that, but what we didn't know is that I have a pretty nasty case of sleep apnea on top of all the other crap going on. I did a sleep study and was lucky enough to get into the lab and test with a CPAP. I apparently did really well with one, so it's looking like getting one for overnights here is in my future. My hope is that I can regain some of my sanity back - and by proxy, my creativity.
The majority of this year has been incredibly sparse financially for me due to my health BS and lack of contract work for certain periods. The reality is I am really struggling...and I really hate asking for help, but I could really use it. If you'd like to help in some way, there are a few things you can do:
- I have a raven fursuit head we are trying to auction off. You can view it on Dealer's Den here: https://www.thedealersden.com/listi.....en-head/241601 ( Spreading this around would really be appreciated! )
- If you have a commission / pending commission, please just be patient with me. I promise the work is coming, I am just slow. I would also like to thank all of you who HAVE been patient with me - I REALLY do appreciate it!
I really want to get these issues with my health resolved. It's been a LOT of bouncing from doctor to doctor over the past few years. It feels like I am on the edge of getting something major fixed, it's just going to take a little bit more time. My follow up is later this month, and with luck... I should get a machine mid-ish September barring any issues with insurance.
I want to make sure to thank all of you who have been supportive of me and my work over the years. I REALLY want to make sure it's known that I appreciate the patience given to me. It's not easy for the people around me, seeing what I've gone through and the frustrations I have created for them as a result.

My boyfriend recently got a CPAP machine. He would stop breathing in his sleep and jolt awake. Sometimes he would even throw up. It got so bad that he fell asleep driving a few times. The CPAP has put an end to that. So I am very hopeful that it will help you sleep much better.

The nastier the sleep apnea, the more the cpap machine helps. I have a very strong case of sleep apnea myself, spent more than half the time not breathing while sleeping, which makes the little you can sleep really unefficient. Getting the machine changed my life x3 Went from sleeping 10 hours per night with daily naps and sleeping in on the weekends and still feeling super tired to sleeping 7 hours a night and waking up with a ton of energy. I hope it'll be the same for you ! Good luck on your health journey :)
