Oli_Snowpaw here again, and this is probably the last time I'll be updating on his journal so if you need/want more information I will be doing my best to keep everyone updated via both of our discord servers. This is the short version of things:
Os suffered a ruptured esophagus on Thursday night after he got home from work. We got him to Urgent Care in less than an hour, and they air lifted him 'to the city' the next morning for further treatment.
Surgery took a little over 7 hours, they had to break one of his ribs to access for repairs to his esophagus. There was an abscess found that likely contributed to the rupture; fortunately this was determined to be non-cancerous. All foreign particles were successfully retrieved, and the esophagus looks good.
As of this morning there were no signs of sepsis! Os was fairly lucid (as lucid as one could be on morphine) and was looking good. He was up and walking around with PT shortly after I left (had to drive home, our dogs had been in their kennels for the majority of this).
His doctor is hoping to move him out of ICU tonight or tomorrow, but the hospital stay will be lengthy: at least 10 days.
I will leave the comments open on this journal if anyone wants to leave well wishes for him to see, etc as all support is appreciated and good to help keep spirits up.
I will not, however, be answering any questions regarding his medical stay etc. here (I have to turn on his PC etc) so again, if you want to be kept fully in the loop, join one of the two discord servers where I will be doing my best to keep everyone updated.

Best wishes for a swift recovery! I hope to see Os here well enough to be typing updates soon.
Title of previous journal was totally misleading and I missed the news <_<
