Here's why I disappeared + some updates
Thoughts, and various mad ramblings.
I try not to post my issues online, especially since not many people read these anyway, but I've been gone for a minute and I figure my 2 or 3 loyal fans deserve an answer. XD
So, early last month life threw me about a dozen curve-balls in rapid succession. First, my job started getting weird, with new changes every other week. That made it hard to write, but just as I was adjusting a storm knocked out my power for almost a week and it even knocked out power at my job. After that, as we were clearing the debris, the city came a knockin' to give me citations for stupid stuff. One was a massive, half-dead willow tree with a trunk that was 60" across, and an old car in my backyard that wasn't registered anymore. Before any of that was taken care of, another storm knocked down a tree branch the size of a city bus, plopping it in my backyard and tearing out my power lines and internet in the process. They replaced the power lines the same day (from when I called to when it was fixed was exactly 1 hour!) but then I had to move...
The house I was renting was my childhood home, and I was renting it from family members. All the bad luck gave them the impression that God was giving them a sign to GTFO, so it's being sold. However, I'm now enlisted in cleaning said house to facilitate the sale to a real estate investor, who wants it "broom clean" from wall-to-wall. This house has about 50 years of family history piled in it, so... Anyway... Due to lack of warning (it was basically instantaneous), and due to the economy, I had to move in with family. My roommate/best friend/guitarist of my semi-defunct band gets to live in the basement while I have my old room. It's temporary, but they haven't said how temporary, so in my haste to come up with a legitimate game-plan I have been understandably distracted from my stories and posting.
As for the house I used to live in, I've been hard at work clearing it out for the last few weeks and have not had a proper day off in almost a month. Every weekend from now until September 9th is booked, and I have even been forced to use my precious vacation days to work on that f*cking house... No trips for me, I guess! I digress... The last dumpster we filled weighed about 3,000 pounds, and the second dumpster we filled last weekend will be even heavier; it's full of old clothes, some toys, and a literal library of old books, not to mention music and computer equipment going back to the 1980s that was saved for reasons. Even had to throw out some tube TVs and monitors! In the past month I have done more manual labor than I have in the past few years, and it's showing. I might want to keep exercising to maintain the added muscle.
Anyway, here's some good(ish) news! Throughout this fiasco, I have been attempting to write... It's just whenever I have the motivation, so... I'm about 4 episodes into Ferretville P.D. (including the already posted first episode), which is officially my "I really need to take a break from life and enjoy myself" story. I'm also creating new characters to fit into that story, one of which I'm painting myself. All of the Ferretville characters will be long-term; they aren't going to disappear whenever (if ever) the story is done. I'm also trying to finish up stuff for Tales of Morveria, since I don't want to leave things unfinished, but dammit if I just don't have any time anymore! I'm doing my best, but it'll be sporadic for a bit. If I can, I'll return to my posting schedule, but for now it's all ??? I'll try to keep posting those adopts I've horded, too. Just in case a reel-to-reel falls on my head and kills me, I'd like them to have fresh air. :X
That's it for now. I hope anyone who actually reads this is fairing better. Have a good one!

I've helped friends and family clean out lots of old houses - that's how I ended up a hoarder. I have no problem throwing out obvious trash, but old tech? Audio equipment? Books? Derelict cars? That's a problem. I can't throw them away.
