Desktop pc is dead...
My more capable pc just died today. Yesterday I was having some BSoD errors and couldn't start Windows so I went on and reinstalled the OS. Afterwards I did RAM and SSD checks to see if there were any problems and everything came back green.
So I fire it up today and it happens again. Random restarts and freezes. Now I can't even access BIOS settings. Fans spin but monitor tells me no signal. Notably holding the power button no longer powers the machine off.
Things I've tried so far:
- checked all connections
- reseated the RAM
- tried running it with just one RAM stick then the other
- reseated the GPU
- removed all storage to see if it'd at least take me to a boot screen (it doesn't)
- removed GPU and booted with monitor plugged into the mobo's video out
- cussing
- praying to a dark lord
My guess is just a dead mobo. If it's not that then I guess I'm just fucked. I can't afford to fix a problem that's any more expensive than that.
If you have any suggestions on something it might be or something I can try I'd love to hear it.
Till then I'm back on my faithful lappy still put-putting along after 10 years. Though not capable of streaming, at least not well.
....and uh...commissions are open >.>
Thanks peeps for reading my ramblings

Yeah that sounds like a mobo hardware issue (popped capacitor perhaps), which is fairly easy to drop in a new mobo. Be careful of open box. Buy something new that fits your chipset. If you can move your operating system over to the new mobo, great. There are places to buy OEM OS's for cheap coughkinguincough.
And yeah, BIOS reflash as a last effort. If that dont work. She ded.
*helpful as always*
