giving a much needed public thanks
Without giving too much away here and providing that Thanksgiving is upon us, I have to give a whole-hearted, sincere 'Thank you' to my boyfriend.
He has inspired me to be a better person.
He calms me down when I need it (which has been very often in the last month).
He is never judgemental when it comes to hearing me out.
He is always providing a new perspective on how to view the world.
He is never harsh in giving criticism and is always helpful.
He values conversation and brainstorming to solve problems.
He has an outlook on life that is based on simply being happy and content.
This man is intelligent and compassionate. He cares about the people in his life and especially cares about my well-being. I can't thank him enough for what he has done for me in the past month with all of the emotional support and practical advice he has given me. He has put my weight loss project into perspective and provided a pathway for me to recover from doubts; he has listened to and considered all suggestions about how to move and has constantly reassured me that everything will work out; he has never once given me a peice of criticism that I have not positively utilized. He might not realize what he does, but that's the reason I wrote this.
Doesn't everyone want a person in their life who makes them see the best path for them when they always can't? Doesn't everyone want a person in their life who allows them to see opportunites for personal growth? Doesn't everyone want someone in their life to smack them back into reality and tell them "Hey, you're wrong. Suck it up, solider on. I love you."? Well, I have that person. And I'm oh-so-thankful for him.
Sweetheart, you might not always have the right words to tell me but I know that you do. And I love you, too. So very much. Always.
