Minor Delay

Still working on commissions, but I contracted e.coli from a feckin A&W restaurant on Monday so I've been taking it easy since then. Apparently most people are sick for 5-7 days, they don't recommend antibiotics coz it may trigger HUS (hemolytic uremic syndrome) which will shut down my kidneys, and there's no other cure otherwise, I just have to tough it out. Unrelated to the e.coli outbreak in Calgary atm.
Vancouver's just tired, man.
Anyway, I try to draw when I can sit up for long periods, but I'm otherwise in bed in a feverish delirium. Had a nice lucid dream about a fucked up playground. Pointy lego instead of sand, basketball court shaped like a tree house, etc. Still waiting for the fever dreams to kick in.

I once got food poisoning from a high end restaurant, so I kinda know some of that frustration.
Have you gotten the weird ass dream where you see yourself standing in sort of sun-god robes on a pyramid with a thousand naked women screaming and throwing little pickles at you?
Worst I ever got was bad crab from Red Lobster. Not sure if it had gotten an infection when it lost a leg prior to being caught and eaten, if the cook had something, or if it got left out too long before being cooked or what. But it was BAD! The meat tasted sickly-sweet, but not so bad I didn't eat it all.
I won't get into the nasty purging details, but I will say the micro-tears in my back/torso muscles put in so much pain after that I went to the hospital for three days. (I was clenching my jaw really hard to keep from screaming at the point I told my mother it was time to get medical care)
After some nice muscle relaxants, very little/poor sleep, and many gallons of ice-water, (both due to how HOT the hospital was kept that time of year so the older patients wouldn't catch things as easily) I was okay. (the elevated liver enzymes from dealing with the poison and the elevated heart-muscle protein count from the stress both went back to normal levels)
To this day can't eat crab and hate sweet combined with meats.
Anyhow, fascinating lucid dream, sounds like a strange liminal space.
It was cooked well I think? Boiled thoroughly, but apparently the poison persisted!
But hey, I lived! XD Kinda traumatized, but I survived.
