Update + Commissions soon & BLFC DD
So, I've definitely not been as good updating my gallery for work I've finished in the past few years, and trying to work on that now. I feel a bit bad for the image spam, but I'm also wanting to try and get a complete gallery of my work uploaded before opening commissions before BLFC.
As of right now I believe there are 40 images left to post? If by November you don't see your piece posted please feel free to reach out or comment here - I'm trying to keep track of it all but the reality is it's super easy to miss one after this time. And that's on me for not keeping up with things.
For a commission update... I'm doing a bit of recontextualizing on certain things. For one, I keep seeing a lot of negative connotations with the name "wing-it". I started using the name for the commission work I do, because it removed a lot of pressure for me to take on the work. "Wing-it" often is for the subject matter giving artistic freedom, but I used it more for winging the process to test new things out and find what is want to be doing long term. The main issue is, work bloated in timeframe heavily where if I continue work the way I have the last year....
My yearly income would be $13k before taxes. It's mostly worked through support from my s/o Marc, along with spending this year to study, but it just isn't sustainable for the next year.
That being said, I also don't feel I can raise prices easily, given demand vs value people would perceive it at. What I'm mainly looking to do is change the process to be more character focused with simpler environments, while offering a tier higher for more environment focused pieces for whoever wants that too.
I'm looking to do a more recent example before commissioning openings on the 25th this month, but this is roughly what I'm hoping to do more of at the "base" price:

I'm also changing the name of wing-it to just Illustrations, because that's basically what they've become recently.
The prices for upcoming commissions:
Sketches: $125
Cell shaded/stylized: $350
Illustration - character focus: $500
Illustration - scene: $800
Full Illustration: $1200+
Extra characters are +50%
Sketches will only be available at BLFC for now, and not offering the cell shaded yet til I have more examples/ironed out an issue or two.
I will be opening for 2-3 Character Illustration slots before blfc on the 25th, otherwise selling them at my DD table - I just want to give a chance for people to purchase one online first vs it being con exclusive.
I'm trying to be a bit more social where I can - posting a bit on bluesky and trying to reply to comments here a bit more as it's easy to just... not know what to say, and then never thank people.
Thank you everyone for your support in the meantime, it really means a lot to me.

OP
Aaaaaaa, thanks so much! I'll look forward to it if you do, but no pressure. I've done a few sketchbook sketches before and it's both super fun to draw them, and to also see the art people have gotten before me.
