This is simply an amazing occurrence!
I am among the many people influenced and inspired by your story (and a longtime fan!). It was one of the first stories I read, by a furry writer, that had me instantly hooked. I literally hung on every paragraph.
In many ways, it was one of those stories that inspired me to really make an effort in my own writing, and (indirectly?) inspired my first novel length concept story of the Companions (which unfortunately still a WIP some 15 years later >.<).
This is one of those things I one day wish to inspire for another reader, as you have done for us.

When I wrote this, all those years ago, I had only my own entertainment in mind. I hoped others would find it worthwhile. I was, and am, pleased that this has been the case.

To hear that I have actually inspired others with my work is a reward I never imagined.

I have pre-paid a commission of my own for some artwork on a yet-to-be written story. Sooner or later I will have to write that story. So, yeah. I ain't completely done yet.

Just like many of the people i see commenting on your work (here and on the SoFurry page), this story made me hooked since when i started reading it, and this is the least i could do compared to how much it inspired me in reading other stories. Since i left my poorly drawing skills behind years ago, i hope i can pay tribute to such great works by commissioning fanarts of them.
