Hope you're all doing well! I'm admittedly trying to get by and hopefully improve my work ten-fold! <3
It'll be a long journey, might even have to go back to school but for now, I'm gonna do my best. Also do NOT forget:

Now, onto the news seen in the title of this journal. About NSFW work......
So, when I first started this account I was talked into it by two wonderful friends. They believed that making NSFW art online was a good way to get people to notice our art. I agreed, but never realized the journey it would put me on. You see.....in the past, art teachers made me draw nudes for YEARS. However, I'd always 'blot out' the genitalia every time. I did this mainly out of fear for what my family or anyone around me would say if they saw me drawing anything 'sexy'. But my friends gave me the courage to start this account I made a vow to FULLY show the genitalia and get over my shyness wit this account!
And it worked!!!!
I've met some wonderful people by making NSFW work here. Even when I was uncomfortable with some things you ALL were super kind and accepting about it. Seriously, i cannot thank you enough! Making NSFW work has not only broadened my horizons and improved my anatomy art, but it's also given me the courage to be more bold in my work overall.
That is why....I find this part very hard to talk about.
Over the years....I've sadly become a bit....bored with NSFW work. I'm EXTREMELY grateful for doing it but now?? I just feel like it's 'ok' and not as 'new' or 'interesting' as once before. Now, I don't feel this with every NSFW pic I made, but with most. THAT BEING SAID---this could easily be ENTIRELY MY fault as I just (and really do) need to get better at drawing FIGURES in perspective and in interesting angles. This is something i greatly struggle with and want to get better at. However, as of now....I'm a bit bored with my NSFW art. It doesn't help that more and more sites these days are cutting down HEAVILY on NSFW work for the sake of their advertisers. Even pixiv forces you to censor any penetration and such for every picture and DA 'claims' it allows NSFW but every time you try it just takes it down (no matter how censored).
NSFW art just doesn't seem worth it you know? At least for me. Fewer and fewer people get to SEE my NSFW work because of these new guidelines. Plus, the extra cost that I've always put on NSFW art barely covers it, if at all.
My point is this......it is possible (just possible) that I may stop allowing NSFW commission work in the future.
To clarify, I'll allow NSFW art for REGULAR customers (those i trust anyway) and maybe even for newbies if your idea intrigues me.
DON'T BE AFRAID as this decision towards NSFW art isn't happening now or even in the next few months, but I wanted to give you all a heads up that I am thinking about it.
Already I am limiting the amount of NSFW commissions I do per month as again I get so little exposure when making that sort of art. Also, I do tend to prefer SFW art anyway.
Still, I will always appreciate the journey that NSFW art has lead me on. It's made me a better artist and person overall! I will likely draw it forever BUT in my OWN way, not through another's. Perhaps once I've understood anatomy/dynamic perspective i'll come back to it. Find my 'muse' again so-to-speak. But for now, just wanted to let you all know how I'm feeling.
Let me know tho if you have any tips or tricks for perspective/dynamic angles for anatomy. Let me know also if you have any thoughts or feelings regarding what I've said here! I'd love to hear you guys out, talk it through, etc. Thank you all though for being with me on this journey. I will forever be grateful to this site and those who have stuck by me <333 seriously, I appreciate the love!

As for social media bullshit, platforms like bsky and cohost are starting to gain traction, and they do allow NSFW. DA does in fact allow porn too, it just has to be in a paywalled folder in your gallery.
Whatever you decide, take care of yourself first. Don't worry about making art worthy of us, just make art you enjoy and the rest of us will enjoy it with you
I appreciate that youv'e taken the time to reply to me here on this. Going less (and maybe even stopping) NSFW work on my part has been a tough decision. Especially since I've both learned so much from the experiences and owe a great deal to it. Yet, I just don't feel it's 'me'? At least right now. I likely will have 'spouts' of NSFW moments (cause hey? I like NSFW from time to time!). I think part of it is that most of what people commission me for NSFW (As opposed to NSFW) just isn't for me?
Also hm....I've considered going for bsky but i'm hesitant XD since I've done this before with sites like pillowfort and such and it tends to amount to nothing. Though I do hope I am wrong and it gets a large audience. DA however for whatever reason tends to ALWAYS flag my NSFW work (Even when it's not sexual, but just a nude figure which is properly tagged? so I have no idea what I'm doing wrong---tho as you say there is a paywall for having such a folder in one's gallery makes a TON of sense).
Still, thank you so much again for responding and for understanding. Now that i have gained the courage to draw NSFW I must further find what it is I like in NSFW for MYSELF. Perhaps then I will come back to NSFW.
I don't work for DA so obviously i can't say what's going on there, but it might be worth just putting all your nudes in a paid gallery. I think core is like $4/mo for the cheapest option
Still, what you're saying is sticking with me. Yes.....sadly.....we as artists or just creatives in general may have to ALWAYS get used to the fact that we're going to have to move from place to place. I remember an old podcast I used to listen to said something along the lines of: "A rookie artist's first mistake is investing all of their eggs in one basket." Perhaps it's just ME that needs to get used to the idea that my art will have to migrate constantly (at least at this point in my life) to survive. NSFW however, I do feel like there's no 'real' place for it on most sites since they almost always 'kick us out' so-to-speak.
Still, ty for the suggestions. Perhaps I'll add bsky in my linktree soon. I may also forgo NSFW after my next mass effect sale, at least for a time and at least for my own peace of mind (since it doesn't fulfill me creatively at this point---tho i do see myself coming back to it).

Bsky and Cohost are the best options for NSFW and I don't see it going anywhere any time soon, especially considering it was kind of a major reason for Cohost's creation in the first place and Bsky has gone out of their way to make accommodations for 18+ content with the rating/warning system. I had a NSFW fee on my commissions because of how few places I was able to post it after the tumblr fiasco, but I'm actually removing it now that I have Bsky, Cohost, Pillowfort, DA, and FA allowing it (and twitter, but I'm not posting porn there anymore in an attempt to get people to follow me elsewhere). We might get kicked out someday, but we might not, and I'll take what I can get.
I have a few Bsky codes if you do decide you want one
Admittedly, I've never heard of cohost but will for sure check it out on your recommendation! I've had some customers offer me bsky codes but perhaps i will now give it more thought to accepting one. I'll for sure DM if I am in need on such a thing though!
Perhaps you're right. I should just move forward. We artists especially if we delve in NSFW must live like nomads. Frankly, I think I need to get my act together and update more. I even started an itaku some time ago (not that I've uploaded anything on it yet). It seems to be our way. Still, ty again for taking the time out of your day to contact me. It means a lot. It is definitely extremely exhausting, I agree. It's just, unfortunately, the nature of the internet under capitalism. Best to just roll with the punches whenever possible
