I'd say Bluesky over twitter/X, you'll need an invite code to get in but there's plenty of people who can provide one so can probably just ask around. But hopefully can work towards getting back to animations too.

Things are kinda fractured between Twitter, Bluesky and Mastodon right now, there's an ongoing diaspora of users and things haven't really settled on >one place<, if that makes any sense.

Personally I don't use any of them, I guess the point is that no matter where you go you won't be reaching everyone.

Good to hear from you hun. Sorry about the real life difficulties. To answer your question, do what you can to take care of yourself first and foremost. If you're having comp issues and need a replacement, doing quick, simple commissions to fund it is a possibility. To that end, some of my other friends use social media like twitter and the more recent competitor bluesky as a means of marketing themselves rather than a way to socialize. Can network and maybe get yourself as an artist more out there to capitalize on it.
