I think if you remember the place and the dish, thats the best way to post. If not, I honestly wouldnt bother (or, at best, post it in scraps if you cant give the credit).

Upon further review, think of it this way - and please note that I (or we) say this with utmost, utmost respect to you:

Posting someone's work (or food, if you will) WITHOUT *any* kind of credit to the one that created it is a big no no.

It is chimpy, and we both know one shouldn't be doing chimpy things.

Its fine if you remember the restaurant and/or even the dish, but even with that, that should go right to scraps if the dish isn't yours.

Understandable, that's why I asked. Though, I want to give shoutouts to the restaurants I do know, and people won't get alerted if they go straight to scraps. I could post them with credit and a big disclaimer that I didn't cook it but I did take the photo with artistic presentation in mind, and also move all dishes that aren't mine into scraps after a week just so the restaurant gets the attention it deserves. Food review blogs exist for a reason, but I'll make extra care to emphasize I didn't cook the food and I'll put a note in my profile that all restaurant dishes will go into scraps after a week out of respect. I don't want to be like those Instagram accounts that just take beautiful food photos with no context of where the food came from.
