✧ Criticism Day ✧
Good afternoon dear subscribers!
For self-development, I decided to have a ଘ(੭ ᐛ )━☆゚.*・。゚ “criticism day”
I have some guesses about weak elements in my art, which I try to gradually work on and improve.
(at the moment this increases the time of drawing commissions, but I think it's worth it)
And I would like to ask you if there is anything in my art that you don’t like?
Or what about my art do you think could be improved?

You certainly have your own style going and the way how you go about it is beautiful, the colouring ... I can see you really know what you're doing with the colours! Your art is beautiful and so refined!
The anatomy is of course of a certain style for a certain audience, but what I have noticed is that the faces seem to be pretty uniform in terms of expression, even if they are seen from other angles other than the "straight on" angle: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/51470252/ https://www.furaffinity.net/view/51689371/ https://www.furaffinity.net/view/54229464/ https://www.furaffinity.net/view/50627445/ (these two less uniform which is nice! https://www.furaffinity.net/view/51847994/ https://www.furaffinity.net/view/50391521/)
Next is lighting... It would be cool if you can add more of an indication of the presence of more than just an ambient light (more shadows) or showing light passing through thin materials like hair, cloth, ears/edge of fingers (subsurface scattering in 3D world, not sure if there's another term for it).
Looking back to this one: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/50391521/
The colours you've chosen are sooooo pleasing to the eye, I especially love the use of warms. But there could be more shading/lighting shown here, especially with her sitting by the window, you can really show the difference between sunlight and the indoor light (if any). Especially where the sleeves are hanging off her arms, some light would pass through. Though one could argue that it's a cloudy day so that won't be the case. But in general, would like to see that!
Lastly is background/interaction with the background.
https://www.furaffinity.net/view/51470252/ <-- those folds are gorgeous and the snakes are incredibly adorable aaaa
The ground that she is sitting on is painted nicely but it looks like it was more of an afterthought because it doesn't actually look like this character is actually touching the ground/not seeing the illusion of the ground "popping out".
I would like to see more care given to the background, especially if it's closer to the camera.

https://www.furaffinity.net/view/54229464/ This one is perfect :D
It would be so cool if we could see more things like this where the background is "part of the picture" https://www.furaffinity.net/view/46014030/
I hope that helps! :D
You noticed some of the points that I suspected, and those that I did not realize!
I saw that in some works I could not depict what I visualized in my head, and I could not understand why
(these works generally took me a lot of time, because I tried to correct them for a long time, but now I realize that in the end I made the work more “dirty”)
This is just about playing with light and shadow
I will try to work on all these points and become better!
<_> yeah popping things on the canvas that we see in our head is always a challenge.
And awesome! I can't wait to see what you come up with!
