New car
I recently bought (through Carvana) a 2019 Nissan Leaf, an electric vehicle, which will be not only my first EV, but the first time I've bought a car requiring financing instead of paying for a clunker in cash. Right now I'm going through about $50/week in gas, and recently my roommate starting paying me rent which has relieved financial strain, so the $300/mo I'll be paying for financing doesn't seem like it'd be too much to manage. As I get used to the new monthly bill, I'm hopeful I can save up more money for a good down payment on getting solar panels and maybe a powerwall, but will see -- might need to pay off the car first.

Those are neat. Do you have to add a charger to your place?

OP
I did add one, so charge time is irrelevant. I don't have to make any extra stops, just charge at home!
