I love sharing, faving and comenting but lately this has been depressing.

I can't afford you, but I watch because your art is nice, but I also don't use FA much these days in favor of Telegram

I made a journal mentioning I've noticed the same as well as a slow trend across the sight to hide favorites, ultimately which would cause a decrees in discovery and I'm not sure why it is happening.

I'm sorry, a lot of the time I don't have anything to say, or I'm not into the content. Work-wise, I have things I'd like to commission, but money is an issue because I am paying off a push.

Honestly with how long I have been here it is interesting/sad to watch how quiet the site has become in terms of comments and general interaction between everyone from what it was back in the ancient times. I am sorry I don't comment more myself I have such a lack of artistic eye i feel like nothing i say could be helpful or constructive beyond "I like this!"

Honestly even just hearing someone likes something means a lot.
The main thing I kinda get down about is like, trying to build some kind of interest in my OCs and not having much feedback for those either. I'm one of those people who doesn't like to follow fanart trends, so it's harder to reach anyways because I'm only drawing for clout at that point and not my own personal enjoyment for something.
It's sad to see the spiral even outside of that.

I feel you there. People used to talk to us artists back in the day and it was such a great source of inspiration. Now people are silent and even faving is going away. Maybe we were just lucky to have lived at a time where people cared about artists and that time has passed. Or maybe everyone is too stressed out to say much anymore. Who knows.

I honestly miss deviantART for this aspect. I remember way back in my teen days (from like 2009 to like 2013 at least), you could just post stuff and be goofy with people in the comments! Didn't matter how cringe the content was, it was fun and so motivating to come back and be active. It was just... casual? And nice...

I will admit that I've struggled with responding to people who do take the time to leave comments nowadays sadly. I don't know whether that's come with age/personal shit, or just the struggle with trying to be relevant in the community, either way I know I can take fault for not doing my bit more to make it happen.

I speak for myself but i comment rarely because i'm afraid to comment.
Many time i commented on something (here or anywhere else) but i got the worst feedback on them because people interpreted them in the worst way.
Now i'm afraid to say just "i like [insert specific thing]" because people would find a way to twist it.
Maybe it's the case for others (not everyone of course).

I try to fav regulary thing i like, to compensate.

I sympathize so much. I try to be active and engage with the people I follow, but the social spoons are hard to come by these days. But I love your art and I'm always happy when I get to see more of it. I don't know of anyone who draws quite like you. Just know that I'm always around if you ever want to talk. I'd be happy to make friends with more artists here and elsewhere.
