i love rping when i have the time and not at work. I love doing like a military rp. or a futuristic rp. post apocalypse rp. i mostly just do text. never did rp on games like GTA. love doing NSFW rp's. story driven with sex in the rp ;p. If you want to message me for a rp go ahead ^_^

A good story written through the interplay of two people can be so much fun. The only sticking point is being able to find someone else who can match your interests and writing style in a way that keeps you interested! I like lengthy, detailed play, and so it can be rather difficult to find others who do the same, but once I do, it's so much fun.

I understand you, sometimes I like to rp long stories with many big or small details. The biggest story I played is lasted for two or three years (I don't remember exactly) almost every day. It was a big fantasy world we wrote with one of my close friends. I still remember that time with warmth, I drew a million drawings for this game xd

Yep! When you're able to connect to someone with a good compatibility in the way you roleplay, things run smoothly and the story just kind of writes itself. It always makes it a worthwhile experience! Sadly, finding something like that can be rather hard to do, as other comments have said, a single NSFW play can be far easier to find. Play that lasts longer can be hard to find! I've found a few that have lasted years, but that also requires patience since not everyone's schedule can meet up all the time.

Roleplay has such a long history with me. A LOT of it is done through a MUD that I still play to this day with a fair chunk reserved for D&D. I do tend to prefer smaller groupings as I can be slow to respond to things as a result of trying to be excessively verbose. Admittedly anxiety tends to play a large role in engaging with new people, but once past that barrier, all bets are off and it's time to bring out the best I can muster. That said...I haven't done anything NSFW in a loooong time but I'm not opposed to it either.

To put it into perspective, I've been RPing for nearly two decades and written enough story to accompany the RP to have put it in novel form by now. Can't say I have really dabbled much in PC games, but text or live via TTPRG is always a win.

Used to rp before but now its mostly artwork i use to get ideas from my head into art. But used to love fantasy settings alot so lately its been dungeons and dragons rp with some friends.

Live tabletop RP is the best, also LARP if it creators bother to make actual goals for the characters instead of "entertain yourself".

I started RP-ing around the last year in highschool (said RP is still an ongoing story with the same writing partner), which is heavily story oriented with an over-arching conflict, which troubles the characters which we control with my partner. Naturally we have 2-2 main characters who have deeper arc within the RP, but I'd lie if I wouldn't admit there are at least 5 or so reappearing support chars. You will laugh but we use Google Drive docs for this, as sometimes posts can get lengthy. As this RP is more narrative/character driven.

Then I have two other characters, who can be seen in my gallery, they are both part of a few ongoing stories which started years later. Every piece is basically inspired by the scenes I had with them. Mainly on discord. Generally said two, have two or so re-appearing partners, whom I met by chance so far.

How did I find my partners? Good question. Chance really.

SFW or NSFW? I'd say 70% and 30%, as I prefer to create a conflict within a setting, plunge the poor sods and writing partner in and then they have to figure out how to solve said problem. NSFW comes along the way. Sometimes.

Glad you think so. As you said, the heart of it are the handful of good folks I can write with. I rather have 3-4 good partners than a myriad of unreliable ones.

It is also good, I can branch out towards fantasy and futuristic too.

I'd say RP is my biggest hobby. I've been playing D&D and other TTRPGs since I was 10 years old (23 years ago). I Larp (10 years this month). I RP in every RPG video game I play (I have Pokémon Trainer OCs for every region). And of course I've been text RPing since I was 16 (GaiaOnline, Neopets, LotGD, various forums and emails and private messages).

Alot of my characters here on FA are my OCs from RPs.

I do both SFW and NSFW RP.

I tend to run games for friends, classic tabletop, using the Mekton Zeta system, though the setting is anime, furry-friendly, far-future sci-fi / space opera, with strong flavorings of transhumanism and prettied up to LOOK more hard science than it really is. Current setting's been running between 4 players for the last 16 years, and I've been playing and GMing for around 37.

Online, I prefer text, especially moderated text where things aren't too jumbled up, and with enough overwatch and a decent, concrete rules set.

I'm generally non-sexual, though I'm fine with tease and tasteful fade-out. No need to sit there and lavishly describe the lewd. Then, this is due to my background as much as anything else.

This entire thing is probably fairly strange and alien to a lot of folk, though.

Nature of which sorta varies, typicaly it's moreso leaning toward SFW stuff n worldbuilding aspect shit involved that i do to an extent; but if there's a chemistry between characters that work out then one thing leads to another n all that.

Though, im not great at keeping in contact with people. ^^,

Sorta primordial-alien jungle world setting, megaflora & fauna and all that stuff.... wierd sentient-creatures, and great jungle-beasts.

I do like RPing, mostly through text as I don't live alone - but the thing I've always had the biggest problem with was keeping the story going. When you're in a group (like in DnD) it's much easier, as there is usually someone who can pick up the slack if someone doesn't have anything to say, or a leader to keep the overall story going.

But for direct RP with just another person it's kinda hard to act out more than just one scene. Acting out a NSFW scene and having a quick-ish, romantic shag is great, but anything beyond that is hard, because you'd have to actually come up with a full story and stuff. Not always easy, if ever!

Although I'm curious now - what are your preferences? What makes it so hard to find someone who shares them?

I had a big story we wrote with me close friend around 2 years. It was a great experience to making a big long story - we distributed the roles of minor characters among ourselves to write large and complex scenes. Sometimes if was hard. But we were unstoppable XD

I have some trust issues and I can't play with random people because of it. I don't treat it superficially, even if it's something short, and I have to know the person at least a little to want to play with them.
Sometimes I may take offence because I'm sensitive, and I need a someone who wouldn't take something like this to heart. I'm not aggressive, I don't make scandals, it's always easy to soothe me, but for many people even a quiet harmless touchiness is a big problem. And the easiest way out is not to look for anyone at all than to spend an insane amount of time searching for someone who can understand me

Aaah, I see. So it is less about preferences and more about past experiences and sensitivity. I can see why it could be hard to find someone in that case! From time to time we gathered to discuss an approximate plot. We didn't write the story in detail so that we could improvise, but in general terms we outlined the laws of the world, locations, places where the heroes can find the artifacts they need, where they can go and how everything can end. If anything changed during the game, we also discussed it and could change the overall plot. I think what we did was close to dnd games - the world had its own "decorations", and we could do whatever we wanted with it, but remember the main goal of the character and the purpose of the whole story

I used to RP by finding people through wattpad, ao3, kik, Skype and twitter, I don't really RP much anymore but back then it was a mix of SFW and NSFW, Usually Fandom I was in at those times, I honestly kind of miss it but I'm not sure if I'd still be good at role-playing if I got back into it lately haha. Also I only ever did text RP, never really did RP inside games

I absolutely adore RP; I started in the mid/late 90s when I was 11-12ish on AOL, RPing through chatrooms primarily; I also wrote through Neopets and various Ezboards. I did that pretty much all the time until I graduated high school.

Immediately after high school, I joined a friend's D&D group, where I met my now-husband. We bonded over RP and I think our first flirting was him playing various love interests for my characters; he's pretty much locked into being a forever-DM, and in every group game, he always made sure my characters has choices for looove. XD We still host a group D&D twice a week and he runs games just for me all the time.

That's mostly how I RP these days, in person, but I really miss text RP. I still try to maintain some; I mostly meet people through places like RPNation, GaiaOnline, Blue Moon. It's much slower-going though since my online time is so erratic and restricted by work; a few posts a week. I play pretty much all kinds of genres (sci-fi, fantasy, modern, mixes!), both SFW and NSFW. I really like plot-heavy story where the NSFW just happens as the characters will it naturally (these days, I prefer fade-to-back more often than not, to keep the story moving, though sometimes it can still be interesting to explore).
