He looks so soft and squishy and defenseless. I can hardly imagine how they pull this off in the wild.

He is quite beautiful with that shiny soft blue look. Shame it's not its normal color.

Fascinating. I've never really looked at 'pedes before. I have to agree that dazzling blue is a lovely colour but hardly practical in the wild, I'm guessing they hide somewhere until back to normal.
