I still find that video gorgeous/fascinating. While the idiots are upsetting you have to remember they're everywhere (and ESPECIALLY on youtube). I see comments like that on kitten and puppy videos too. It's just youtubers being morons. I think there are probably far more positive people who just watch and wander away to a new link than it probably seems, and I wouldn't get too wrapped up in the negativity. I've seen you mention it a lot, and while I understand why it's upsetting, you can't let it eat you up. They're ignorant idiots and probably won't act on their hateful words. And some of them may be commenting out of curiosity more than fear, but coming across in a negative light because they don't know any better. There may be a large amount of them who want to sway their opinions to a more friendly/thoughtful one.

I know that me having an earwig persona for so long and teaching others about them has made dozens (if not hundreds!) of people find a new fascination, and I still get regular IMs from people telling me about how they saved an earwig from the sink or put it outside or what-have-you instead of killing it. :) Just keep fighting the good fight and I think more people than it seems will find a new appreciation for these amazing animals.
