I get where you are coming from, I really do. I have already weighed on that exact thought, a part of me feels guilty, like I am taking credit for something I didn't write, and I would hate for someone to steal and post my work somewhere else. But I can't stand by and see something great lost to the past. I have already asked several people on their opinion, and they feel the same as me. Does it make it right? I don't know. I do know I can't stand to the side. Not while I have the ability to prevent that. Is it fair to let a great story be forgotten and die due to copyright? There are no good answers, only legal ones. You can't find the story on the surface with simple links anymore. I just want to preserve it in a more accessible place. I plan to give links to the original pages via wayback machine, and as many disclaimers as I can to show I didn't write the story. If by the slim chance he sees this and is pissed off and tells me to take it down, I gladly will, no hesitation. But his last well known account hasn't been active in probably around 6-7 years. I just seek to preserve and archive some of the earlier works of the fandom, a part of a bygone era.

Sometimes respecting a story is understanding you do not have a right to tell it and respecting the death of things. Also a fast way to get your ass banned off here.
