I only watch an artist if I like their work, join a raffle, or have commission them to do work for me, as for character owners I watch them because of the artwork they have, if I've had a good conversation with them, friends from other social media, or I've done commission with
Now I can't say I'm very popular currently on here but I do try to give the benefit of a doubt on most people, but if anything I'm mostly grateful for those who do watch me, like, fave, or share the art I've gotten made, so I get what you're saying about people who are just watching and doesn't feel valued like others, cuz that's probably the only time you'll have to interact with them

Oh yeah like, someone watching a ton of accounts isn't inheritly bad. It's more like, for instance someone who followed me today, fairly new account which follows 8000 people, and all the most recent ones start with "lau", so they're litterally using a list of fa users. Their shouts were full of people in the last 15 mins thanking them for a watch. Couldn't help but notice the only thing posted to their account was a black Friday sale x3

The last time this happened to me the person had actually even copy/pasted the same compliment onto everyone's wall they followed as well.

Mass watchers. I immediately block those because those are the types that would be the "Hey, can you commission me?" without me interacting with them beforehand.

Sounds about right. It's the best course of action.

Bot account with scripts that go through and +watch EVERYONE

I'm unsure of the point of doing this although my best guess would be is for attention. But I'm not sure.

Yeah definitely don’t enjoy when that happens. Some are trying to get more viewers, and some consider it a challenge to watch as many people as possible

I get that all the time, and I'm not even an artist. I never thank people that act like that to get views.

I follow a lot of people, but because I like keeping up with other active artists in the community. I don't follow blank accounts except on rare occasions (friends for example.)
