confused as to weather that is Godzilla or something else. Cause I'm definitely confused by the pink coloration.

While it ain't the first time the big G had a different color ability: In 2000's his atomic breath was red/orange. But I still find it quite confusing.

I honestly think they should have tried for orange instead of pink. It would have been a good Godzilla 2000 reference.

His spines do look like Godzilla 2000 but it's still weird as heck to me that they went with pink energy.

Same! I did not expect his new look, personally, but I like it. Making it orange would have been a great touch though.
