A DONUT APPAERS
Hello all, given my rather inconsistent uploads and even inconsistentent-er communications, I just needed to update a bit on what’s up.
Basically, Moth (the wife) has been suffering from a cyclical vomiting illness on and off this year; most of November for them was: vomiting, excruciating pain > ER > discharge > repeat… for weeks. We’ve had two extended hospital stays over that time—during which we received care at such a patchy pace that agony was often the only choice for hours at a time. All of this is to say that I love Moth very much and looking after them during all this has been pretty taxing. It’s definitely meant less time to draw, and on top of that the hospital’s semi-restricted internet meant I couldn’t even bloody update you guys.
Financially, family’s been able to help some, but after car troubles and trying to square away some debts it’s been a temporary fix; we’ve still got a lot of work to do. It’s been tough but we’re back home with the kitties and recovery finally seems to be taking. Currently we’re just trying to stay positive and have a restful holiday month while things get back on track, and I’ve been getting back on the horse with regards to drawing and responding to everyone from the past while; again, really sorry for disappearing on y’all, I’m not great with responses at the best of times, let alone in crisis mode with SHIT HOSPITAL INTERNET GODDAMN.
Some miscellaneous notes on games I played during the hospital stay n stuff.
KoF XIII- man what a beautiful game. Also what a hard game.
Super Mario RPG Remake- I FINALLY FINISHED SUPER MARIO RPG. I had it on SNES as a kid & Virtual Console elsewhere, but I think Booster’s Tower was the farthest I’d gotten. Nishimura’s score was perfect then, and it’s perfecter in the remake.
I dislike asking like this, but I REALLY want to leave my backlog alone as much as I can. We’re doing everything we can to get caught up on work and bills but there’s no getting around that this year has been extremely difficult. I know times are tough for everyone—and always remember, foods before lewds—but while we look for work to get caught up on things, we still need, uh… groceries x~x
Thanks everyone, hoping from here on out things can get back to normal :>
