My take on Friendship Drama.

You know. I'm 34. I've been in this Fandom for what... 26 years now...
And it always bothers me how certain people STILL have the whole elementary school mentality.
You know. The whole "if you are friends with them, then we can't be friends." Mentality.
"Oh well I hate them because A B C, and If I hate them, you have to hate them too. If you don't hate them, because I hate them, we can't be friends."
Its 2023. We are adults. When are people gonna learn than you can't control who others like.
Perfect example. There's a certain deathclaw I USED to be friends with, whom I have mutuals with. That deathclaw hates my guts. They spread shit about me.
And here I am, with those same moots like "I don't care who you like. You and me are cool, and that's all that matters.
It makes me cringe and lose hope in people when the elementary school mentality kicks in. I LIKE person A. I hate Person B. If person C and I are friends, fantastic. If person B and C are friends, more power to them.
I'll be honest in my experiences. But I won't ever be like "we can't be friends cuz your friends with them". You are your own person. You be friends with who you wanna be. As long as we are cool, that's all that matters.
It's 2023, soon to be God's year of 2024. It's time to leave the elementary school mentality and grow up.

It's 2023/2024. We aren't in elementary school anymore. No one had control on who you can be friends/have relationships with.
You can be friends with whoever you want to be friends with. No one can "make" you unfriend people cuz THEY hate them.
You are your own person.

I'm 32, I've been on FA since 2009 under the old name badbear23...I feel you, I'm too old for all this drama as well. Especially when I have underactive thyroids, my health can worsen if I get angry these days....I've learned to stay calm by meditating, drinking chamomile herbal tea and listening to soundscapes music on my cable TV (Soundscapes music choice channel on spectrum cable)
I literally just want to see art and animations of sexy animal people, write stories about sexy animal people, get art of my own sexy animal people, um...sexy animal people. Yes. That's literally all I'm here for (and to meet cool furries who have a brain along the way <3 ).
I hate that I had someone stop being friends with me for this very reason
And the fact that I see it so commonly I had to post this, is just sad
