January Commissions and a lot of other updates

Hello and Happy New Years, dorks. This is a bigger journal this time because I want to go over some stuff from the past year. But first, art business:
🎨 January commissions will be opening up on Monday, January 1st. Start the year right by giving me your money!!! Remember to be on the lookout for a submission with my commission info which will link to a Google Form. Also remember that members of our Patreon get early access to commissions so there's no worry about missing your chance!
📺 Charity streams return on Tuesday, January 2nd! This month, we'll be supporting the Cheetah Conservation Fund, whose "vision is to see a world in which cheetahs live and flourish in coexistence with people within a sustainable system that is protective of the environment, socially responsible, and economically viable." Toon and sketch commissions will be available live on stream and all money goes directly to this charity.
🖼 It was fun to see some people get excited about diaper art returning, even if the sales of that particular topic did slow down after the first month. It helped fill slots which was really needed after a somewhat rocky year in terms of sales. At the risk of warding off further sales I feel it's important to emphasize how not into diapers I am. I dabble in the fetish here and there but mostly when wrapped up in other fetishes like brainwashing and mascot tf and such. Obviously drawing it doesn't bother me very much, because if it did, I wouldn't still allow it, but I think it's important to state that I don't really want to talk about or tease people about diapers. I don't mind drawing it but I did it for the income, not because I was suddenly into it.
I'm sure this might sour the idea of buying diaper art for some people, but that mattered to you all, you likely wouldn't be commissioning furry art at all, because anyone who knows me at all knows how disinterested I've become in furry art as a genre as a whole. I've been in this fandom for over 17 years as of this coming year and I've had my fill of made up fox people. Again, don't let this discourage you from commissioning me, but if it matters to you what I like to draw, then consider things like humans, elves, orcs, goblins, or MLP art.
🧠 This was a rough year. Not too bad, really; I didn't get violently sick or experience the death of friends or anything, but a series of financial setbacks really got in the way. Move expenses, the IRS being vultures, that sort of thing. Things should be calmer now unless something new comes up. This is why I've been more burned out than usual and why things like personal art, non-art projects, and charity streams had to take a back seat for a lot of this year. I had a few important projects set as goals for this year that absolutely was not doable given t he time I had on top of just being more work than I anticipated. The main one is a semi-secret project that I'm sure a lot of older fans will really like when it's done, and I'm hoping I can get it done this coming year.
Been a rough year for my brain, too. I came out as plural around May of 2020 (I think?) and though it's still true, middle of this year we sort of... imploded? Or collapsed. It was suddenly a lot harder for any one particular headmate to "front", to exist in singularity. Stressful at first, but more peaceful now. Everyone still exists, but we've been increasingly vibing in a singular state. That's why our combined "Ash" self, the human/orc/gator/crux, suddenly showed up and started seeing a lot of light.
💼 Art business needs to change for me this coming year! I can't just do furry porn commissions forever, as much as I'd like to. I'm going to start trying (again) to branch further out into other non-art fields this year like writing, music, and video, but I also do have to keep up the art front so I'd like to build up a more professional portfolio. I think the smartest way to do this would be to focus on some SFW fan art. Once upon a time people would help fund my time for fan art, though it was usually NSFW of course. I may think about doing something like that again if I can hammer out the details. I suppose I just need to have things I can show to "real" art jobs, potentially in the world of comics.
