Important Changes to Commissions

Hello everyone! I’ve got some important updates about upcoming commissions!
❗ Quick version:
Toons will now cost $40 each (up from $35)
A small batch of discounted paw commissions ($55 each) will be opening soon.
Commissions will now be opening in smaller weekly batches instead of one large monthly batch.
I am going to be a LOT more selective with which commissions I choose.
🎨 Okay, to elaborate: With the continuing struggles of various debts and financial issues, I feel I have no choice but to again raise the price of toons to $40 per figure. I know the price is getting up there but I’m hoping the quality of the work I’ve been putting into commissions lately warrants this change. No other prices are changing for now!
Batches will be opening weekly! This will hopefully provide people with more opportunities to get art, as now the odds of me opening closer to a pay day will be better and you don’t have just a two-day window every month to try to get in. I hope to create these openings every Friday so I can fill out the whole next week, but things may be a bit looser in scheduling now.
Commissions will no longer be purely first-come-first-serve. This past year, I’ve increasingly been taking on commissions that I overtly don’t like or have been bored by, and this year more than ever in my life have I done commissions that, upon completing, I simply did not want in my gallery. So, the process is now this: everyone will apply with their ideas and I will email them to let them know that I accept it. This means if you don’t hear from me, I’ve declined your commission. In that case, I’d suggest trying a different idea the next batch.
I know that this kinda sucks to hear, but I sometimes feel like I’m about to lose my mind when it comes to commission stuff, so this really feels necessary for my continued sanity as a commission artist (and I can’t really switch careers at this time). I hope you all understand.
Remember to be on the lookout for a submission with my commission info which will link to a Google Form. Also remember that members of our Patreon get early access to commissions so there's no worry about missing your chance! This now translates to a special Patreon-only opening at the end of the month.
📺 Once again no charity stream this month, sorry. A surprise problem with dental insurance has thrust me back into debt and I have yet more medical things coming up (nothing dire, I promise) which means I really do need that extra day for commission work, especially with a new schedule to work around. I really do hope to continue doing these later in the year, at which point maybe I’ll have set up some cool PNGtuber setup.
🌎 The digital world is feeling increasingly hostile towards adult artists like me and social media sites are just not what they used to be, so I’d like to re-emphasize both my adults-only Discord Server and Telegram Art Feed. These will likely remain the most reliable way to see my art and get updates on commission openings. It’s also a cool way to connect with me and fans, but you don’t even need to do that if you don’t want to, you can just lurk!
I think that’s everything. Now more than ever is a good time to bring up any commission ideas you have in the comments to see if I’d be interested in doing them.

You shouldn't HAVE to draw something you don't want to do. I know other artists who are selective with commissions or straight up reject certain ideas. While this is a job, its one where you are your own boss, so you know best how to motivate yourself.
And artists should be allowed to set rates that match their demand. You've been around for so long I think you've earned a raise ^^
"don’t like or have been bored by" hey, I'm always willing for discussion if you weren't into it.
(though I've only commed you once, emergency health issues will do that.)
Though as for comms. Just wondering what to get next time. Just i would like to help your money problem anytime i can.
